Dogs can have romantic interests just like humans. The relationships that they develop can last a lifetime. For one dog in New York, her boyfriend could not get enough of her and decided to visit her in the middle of the night.

More precious still was the fact that he came bearing a gift as captured on the home’s Ring.

Holly and Harry seem to like each other

A black Labrador, named Holly, is a cuddly dog who is so adorable, according to her parents. But they aren’t the only ones who think so. It seems she has an admirer right next door, a golden retriever named Harry.

Just as charming as his girlfriend, Harry has been “dating” Holly for over seven years. Harry loves to run and play with Holly whenever he gets the chance.

Harry visited Holly late at night

One night, as Holly’s parents were sitting at home, they heard some whimpering and whining right outside the front door. To their surprise, they found Harry.

The dog was outside their home at 10:55 at night. Before him was a ball, a gift for Holly, who he wanted to come out and play.

Harry made a good impression on more than just Holly

The whole sweet scene was caught on the couple’s Ring doorbell camera. Soon, the door opened, and out came Holly. They both seemed happy to see each other.

As for the ball, Holly loved it and started carrying it with her everywhere, according to her mom, Casi Cook. Cook was also smitten with the sweet gesture.

“My heart is so full!” Cook wrote in a Reddit post. “If you listen when my brother opens the door, I’m in complete shock and I didn’t believe it.”

Holly has more Internet fame to her name, appearing in a video online that discusses how she collected money to buy her own treats. She was able to save $100 over four years, with money being one of the things that she loves the most, besides her parents and Harry of course.

Do dogs develop relationships with other dogs?

It is common for dogs to develop a relationship with other dogs. Sometimes this is in the form of friendship, but at other times they seem to develop a genuine affection for each other, especially if they become mates and have a litter of puppies together.
