Sweet dog can’t sleep without his teddy bear, so he drags it into his kennel

It’s a very common thing for plenty of children: sleeping with a particular stuffed animal. And it turns out that the same thing applies for this adorable four-footer. For Arvo, he doesn’t need a blanket or a soft pillow to fall asleep, all he needs is his big fluffy teddy bear to accompany him to the land of dreams.

The teddy bear is most definitely Arvo’s favorite toy in the house, and he just loves playing with it and running around with it in his mouth.

And there’s actually some science behind a dog’s favorite toy. According to BarkPost, the toys are chosen mostly based on their personality, but there are other factors such as breed and genetic history that have to be taken into account as well.

“Some dogs always seem to have a soft plush toy like a stuffed animal loosely grasped in their jaws,” the site reads. “They march around the house with it, snuggle in bed with it, even lick or suck on it affectionately. Sleeping with a soft toy and mouthing it affectionately is often seen in dogs take away from their mothers and litter mates before they were entirely weaned.”

When it’s bedtime for Arvo the dachshund, he always makes sure that his oversized plush teddy bear is right there with him.

There is a slight problem, however, because Arvo is used to sleeping in a small kennel that fits him – but not much else. However, that fact didn’t stop the four-footer from trying to bring the teddy bear inside of the kennel.

The adorable pup just wanted to cuddle with his oversized teddy bear during sleepy time, whatever it takes. You can really see how determined this lovely pooch is to grab the teddy bear and drag it to the kennel!

Luckily, Arvo’s mom was able to see the whole thing unfold and managed to capture the adorable sight on camera.

At the beginning of the video, we see the bear in front of the kennel while Arvo is trying his best to tackle his fluffy friend and drag it into the kennel. It doesn’t seem to be going too well, this bear is simply too big!

However, the four-footer wasn’t planning on giving up at all. We can see the bear flinging to the outside again, and this time, Arvo tries to drag it inside with its head first. This new approach seems to be working a lot better than the first time, although it does take him a couple of tries before the teddy bear fits inside of Arvo’s bedroom.

At last, Arvo had his teddy bear to cuddle with and could peacefully fall asleep.

If this isn’t proof that determination doesn’t pay off, we don’t know what is.

The footage was posted on YouTube where it has already amassed over 2.5 million views!

“That is too funny. LOL I wanted to see more. The dog trying to get comfortable with that whole teddy bear in there,” one YouTuber commented.

“Haha typical dachshund! so stubborn but also hilarious.”

“OMG that’s cute. And good for him…he’s not gonna leave his bestie behind!” another posted.
