Clever dog discovers cutest way to stay in the pool when she gets tired
Isnât it adorable seeing your pet dog play with his favorite toy or game?
Each dog is unique, and whatâs amazing is that as fur parents we are able to see our dogâs personality as they grow older.
Some dogs love to cuddle with their toys, some would prefer to run and chase, and others? Well, they love the water, of course!
What is your dogâs favorite thing to do?
Meet the latest viral dog named Cassidy. Sheâs beautiful, smart, and very active too.
According to her fur mom, Cassidy has always been very active. In fact, when she was a puppy, she had too much energy and she loved playing catch! She can do this all day long and never gets tired of it!
Now that Cassidy is older, she still loves playing but has chosen activities that donât require too much running or energy.
The dog has a new favorite pastime now, and thatâs swimming.
âShe is nearly addicted to swimming,â Kristine Briggs, Cassidyâs proud fur-mom shared in her interview with The Dodo.
Cassidy wonât just swim in the water; of course, she has to bring her favorite toy with her as well. Then, according to her mom, she loves to swat her toy into the pool, as far as she can and then challenges herself to get it.
Sheâs very smart to be able to create a game for herself while beating the heat.
She never gets tired of her game!
However, just like any other game, sometimes things donât go as planned. Cassidy gets really upset if her toy gets stuck.
âOne time, the pool toy went into the skimmer slot on the side,â Kristine Briggs said. âShe swam over and was hovering all around the skimmer looking for her toy. I thought she was treading water.â
Thatâs when Kristine checked on her dog and was surprised to see how long her little girl was able to stay floating!
She was, of course, shocked but was very amazed by what she saw. She grabbed her phone and took photos of Cassidy. According to her, this doggo seemed to be treading water and she was patiently waiting.
She was waiting for someone to help her get her toy back. Mom came to the rescue and then she noticed something.
Cassidy wasnât swimming, she was standing!
âWhen I got out of the pool to get her toy, I noticed she was actually standing,â Kristine Briggs said. âToo funny. She looked somewhat ridiculous and we laughed and laughed.â
This smart girl was able to learn how to stay in the pool for a longer period of time by standing!
Kristine clarified that Cassidy still loves and prefers to swim. Though, in the event that her toy gets stuck, sheâll stand up in the water and wait for someone to rescue her toy.
This is her way of telling Kristine that she needs help.
âShe will only stand if her toy is trapped in the skimmer and she will stand there waiting for us to retrieve it,â Kristine said.
Cassidy is indeed a very smart dog and we love how relaxed she seems to be while standing in the pool.
