Man pays $400 vet bill only to realize his dog was faking a limp out of sympathy
A dog is a man’s best friend, and when your best friend is not feeling well or is injured, you feel down and sympathize with them because you care.
As it turns out, dogs are also able to sympathize and have their own unique ways of doing so.

One man named Russell Jones got injured and he had to have his right leg put in a cast. As a result, the man had to walk around with a crutch.
Now, Russell has a sweet dog named Bill, a Lurcher, and he was sad because his master looked like he was in so much discomfort. As his best friend, Bill felt the need to show how much he cared for Russell.

Bill’s way of sympathizing is not the usual way humans do for other humans.
Well, his response was way sweeter because this dog is one loving canine. He sure knew Russell needed the comfort, so he did what he thought was a good way to show sympathy: by faking a limp himself.
Let’s admit it, this dog is definitely creative and very well-meaning. But, this was not Russell’s initial understanding when he saw that his precious dog also limped!

Was there something wrong with Bill?
Russell grew worried after seeing that the dog also was having a hard time walking. Poor Bill was limping, and during a time when Russell was having difficulty moving around himself.
But, Russell was deeply worried about Bill so he decided to pay a visit to the vet clinic. The dog looked like he was really not in good shape, and his owner knew it was urgent to find out what was really wrong with Bill.

Russell took Bill to the vet and he had to undergo various tests which all came back negative.
The injured man did not mind his discomfort. It was important to find the reason behind Bill’s mysterious limp. Did he break his bone? Was there something wrong with his muscles?
After various tests including an X-ray and evaluation, it was finally concluded that Bill was absolutely fine. He had no broken bones and no muscle issues at all. Bill was perfectly awesome.
That’s when they all realized what was really happening.
Bill was copying Russell who was not walking normally because of his injury. In order to sympathize with his best friend, Bill walked like he was limping, too. How sweet, right?

It might have caused Russell to panic and shell out £300 for his visit to the vet, but it was okay as long as Bill was also fine. It warms the heart to find out that dogs can do such sweet things.
People online were touched by Bill’s nice response to his owner’s situation. At the same time, they found his acts hilarious, too!
What a cute and smart doggo, right? Russell is definitely lucky to have Bill on his side.
