Dog does adorable ‘happy dance’ learning he’s being adopted after 4 years in shelter

It’s tough working and living in an animal shelter for both humans and animals.

It’s difficult for humans to work at a shelter and not have their hearts broken for all the animals that are still not adopted.

And it’s so heartbreaking for animals at shelters, especially when they’re not adopted immediately.

But sometimes there’s a happy ending.

Take the case of Dreadlock.

When his rescuers found him, he was living in the streets of Thailand.

In fact, he’d been living there for about six years by the time his rescuers found him.

And when they found him, his coat was very matted and dirty, and had a lot of skin problems.

In fact, that is how he got his name, Dreadlock, because of his matted coat.

He was limping, too.

He had problems with his bones.

His rescuers brought him immediately to Soi Dog Foundation, where the vets cared for him consistently.

He was fed delicious meals and given a bath once a week by the volunteers.

His skin problems eventually healed and this beautiful dog became visible.

Dreadlock loves to cuddle.

He also loves to take walks and, because he’s a senior dog, he doesn’t get excited too much anymore.

He prefers his life to be full of peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, he ended up living in the shelter for four years because he wasn’t getting adopted.

And it’s such a shame because he’s such a down-to-earth dog and anybody would be lucky to have him live with them.

It seemed like Dreadlock was meant to stay at Soi Dog for a long time until they got the good news one day.

Dreadlock has been adopted.

After six years of living on the streets and four years living in Soi Dog, Dreadlock finally has his forever home.

He was going to fly to the UK to his new home.

He may not speak human but when Darren, a long-time volunteer at Soi Dog, told him he had been adopted, Dreadlock jumped for joy.

Did he understand what Darren said?

Or maybe he sensed Darren’s happiness and excitement and felt compelled to experience the same emotions.

If we were Dreadlock, we’d probably feel the same way.

No more living at shelters. No more sleeping in quarters that are dependent on donations.

Yes to living in a home where the people who live there want to spoil you and make sure you are pampered for life.

It’s good to know that a senior dog like Dreadlock will have a chance to experience being loved by a family.

Dreadlock is already 10 years old.

Who knows how long he still has to live?

But whether he has a few months or a few years, leaving this world full of love will definitely complete his life.

The whole shelter and the people who saw his video are so happy about his new life.

He is a lucky senior dog to experience this.
