The helpful act took place on laundry day in the household of Trey and Gabbie Foote. Their dog Jonsi had just settled in for a nap on the couch when Trey brought a load of laundry through the room to take upstairs. What Jonsi would do next would prove how good of a boy he was.

Meanwhile, the couple’s security camera was capturing the entire scene. Jonsi watched as his owner Trey walked through the room. As the owner neared the stairs, a sock fell out of the basket. Feeling it with his foot, Trey looked down. For his part, Jonsi sat on the couch watching what was going on.

“My thought in that moment was, well, if I try to pick up this one sock, I may drop it all,” Trey told The Dodo. “So, I asked my main dude to lend a paw.”

Trey then proceeded upstairs, leaving the sock to come back for after he was finished taking the rest of the laundry up. At first, Jonsi simply lay on the couch, seeming to almost be in thought about how to respond to his owner’s command. Then, just like that, Jonsi jumped up, grabbed the sock, and took it upstairs as any good dog would.

“I was just absolutely shocked!” Trey said. “He nudged it toward me and hopped up on the bed and went to sleep.”

“It’s so special that so many other people see what we see in him!” Trey said. “It did teach me that our pups are always listening as well as thinking about what we say and do.”

Overall, the video ended up netting over 380,00 views, 14,000 likes, and 7,500 shares, propelling it into viral video territory.
