Every day, excited Malamute happily howls for the ice cream man as she waits for him to arrive

If you own a dog, then you know how much some dogs enjoy ice cream. One dog, in particular, has taken her love of ice cream to the next level, howling for the ice cream man on the side of the road when she hears him coming.

Note: Before giving your dog ice cream, read about the potential side effects.

Mishka, a three-year-old Alaskan Malamute, sits outside and waits outside by the side of the road for the ice cream man to arrive during the summer, whenever she is allowed to have it. As soon as she hears the music of the ice cream truck, she dashes outside to her normal spot, according to her owner, Jessica Beadon.

But she is not just content to wait for him to arrive.

As she sits there waiting, Mishka impatiently howls for the ice cream man to come to her. Soon, the ice cream truck arrives.

It is at this point that Mishka shows great restraint, waiting patiently for the man inside to serve her, this even though she is as excited as can be. Before she knows it, the ice cream man presents her with a scoop of ice cream on a cone, which she promptly wolfs down.

Beadon assures everyone that she doesn’t give her dog ice cream every day. While Mishka loves ice cream, she is only allowed a cone as a treat sparingly. And while chances are that the ice cream won’t hurt her, too much of a good thing is never good for anybody.

Dogs and ice cream

When it comes to ice cream, many dogs are fine as long as they eat it sparingly, as Mishka does. But this is not always the case. If your dog has underlying medical conditions, it may be a safe bet to avoid giving them ice cream.

Dogs with obesity problems, allergies, a dairy intolerance, or diabetes should avoid eating ice cream. Otherwise, expect gas, bloating, and occasional constipation if you let your dog indulge in a little bit now and then. Too much ice cream can also cause vomiting.

You can, however, find ice cream made specifically for your dog at your local pet store.

But don’t tell Mishka that or she will be howling for Beadon to take a trip down to the local store to buy her favorite snack. There you can find the video of Mishka howling for her favorite summertime snack, which has gotten over 16 million views.

As the video below shows, Mishka sure does love ice cream whenever she does get it.
