Stary animals always seem to get some of the worst lots in life, abandoned and alone on the street, every day can be a struggle for survival.

In some cases, though, strays are fortunate enough to have kind souls come into their life.

For one stray dog in Argentina, this is just what happened as some strangers came along and changed his life.

Finding a homeless dog on the street

Lujan Videla and her boyfriend had come across the stray dog while out on a walk. On their return home, they found the homeless dog on the corner near their home.

Instead of passing the poor, sad-looking dog by, the two decided to try and help him out.

No one was coming for the lonely dog

Stopping, they waited a while to see if anyone came along to retrieve him. When they determined that no one was coming back for him they took matters into their own hands.

The dog took the couple over to a nearby apartment. On the door was a sign that said “Keep the dog out.”

The couple followed the dog to see where he would go

The dog was friendly enough, so the couple decided to ask around the apartment complex to see if they could determine what was going on.

Another resident in the apartment complex told them the owner of the dog had either passed away or moved.

The dog, named Bruno had been left to his own devices.

Bruno, ever the loyal companion, had tried to get back into the apartment complex, hence the sign. Now, he had no one left.

He continued to roam the nearby streets confused as to why he couldn’t go back home.

The couple took Bruno home

Lujan and her boyfriend felt horrible for Bruno and decided to see what they could do to help him.

First, they took him back to their home so he wouldn’t have to live on the street anymore.

As Bruno adjusted to his new life, he began to come out of his shell and seemed way happier than when they found him.

Finding Bruno a forever home

His time in Lujan and her boyfriend’s home was relatively short-lived as they were unable to keep him long-term.

They decided to find him a new home and set about finding one.

Lujan posted about Bruno on her Facebook in the hopes of finding someone to take him in.

Fortunately, a neighbor across the street was willing to take Bruno in, giving him a forever home.

Best of all, Lujan sees Bruno all the time and occasionally takes him on a walk.
