In the question of who’s Nana’s favorite grandkid, one name is sure to pop up.

And the funny thing is, the favorite one is not even one of her children’s children. Nana has a very special bond with a very special soul.

That soul walks on for legs, has flaps for ears, and a body that hangs like an oversized hotdog. Sally might not be a human grandkid, but she certainly swept her grandma off her feet.

Sally is Beckii’s dachshund.

Or at least, Sally is her dog on paper. Because whenever Beckii visits her grandmother, Sally is the first to waltz into the door and rolls on her back so that Nana can give her the kisses and belly rubs.

Nana would oblige her little Sally, of course. After all, she is her favorite grandkid. Nana would then shower her with scratches and kisses. And at some moments, she even blows raspberries on Sally’s neck.

It was a whole truckload of love and affection, and Sally loves every bit of it.

The two have always been inseparable.

Whenever Sally is around, Nana rarely does things alone. For breakfast, Nana would take her cereal and coffee, then sit on her favorite chair to watch the birds. She doesn’t do it alone, however, because Sally loves bird-watching with her grandma.

Beckii also shared with the animal channel The Dodo that she and Sally visit Nana two to three times a week. That’s already a lot of puppy time for her grandma but it’s still not enough for these two best friends. In those days that Sally is away, Beckii makes sure that they video call their lovely grandma.

“Nan will call me every day and ask how Sally is.” She said to The Dodo, “We all know who the favorite is and that’s Sally for sure.”

Their friendship started in one of Nana’s most difficult times.

“Sally met Nan the second day she came home.” Beckii shared with The Dodo. “She was the first person she’d go to.”

During this time, however, Nana and Beckii were going through a difficult time. Her husband just passed away but as she grieved her loss, Sally was there all the time.

“I know that Sally definitely helped my Nan through that horrendous time.” Beckii shared with The Dodo.

They’ve been best friends ever since.

Sally would always feel comfortable around her Nan. Sometimes, she even uses her charm to make her grandma give her treats and desserts. Nana wouldn’t have it any other way, though. And since she’s the boss of the family, Beckii can’t say no if she insists on spoiling her favorite grandchild.

Beckii posts updates about Nana and Sally on their Instagram account. And according to her recent posts, Sally might have to compete with their newest addition Winnie.

She shouldn’t be troubled, however, because we know that Nana has so much love to give. After all, Sally is and will always be grandma’s favorite grandkid.
