Everyone loves it when a new puppy comes home for good, except maybe an older dog. But this dog was over the moon to meet his new sister.

When Boomer the golden retriever came into his new home, he was as happy as he could be.

He would miss his parents and siblings, but his new owners were so much fun.

Over the next year and a half, Boomer grew into a handsome young dog and learned to love his owners more and more every day. He even got to attend his owners’ wedding!

Then Boomer’s owners heard some news from the dog’s first home.

Boomer’s dog mom and dad had had another litter of puppies. So the owners decided to post the news to Boomer’s Instagram page. But then something happened.

Boomer’s owners wanted to bring one of those puppies home. They were just so cute!

Yes, Boomer was quite a handful. But the owners just couldn’t resist making their little family a bit bigger.

So they went to Boomer’s original home one day and picked up one of Boomer’s little sisters. The owners knew they had to adopt her. So they named her Bella and brought her home.

The owners didn’t know how Boomer was going to react to seeing a new dog.

He was generally friendly, but who knew if he would get jealous? Boomer’s dad started recording to see what happened…

Bella’s mom put the eight-week-old puppy into a paper bag for her first meeting with Boomer.

Then they walked inside the house. Boomer was already right at the door. He knew something was going on. He had heard the bag rustling and could smell what he was sure was a puppy.

Bella’s mom walked inside the home, with the paper bag in her hand. Boomer was sniffing at the bag, desperate to see what or who was inside!

Boomer’s mom told him that she had got him a present and she put the bag down.

The little puppy stuck her head out of the bag. Boomer started sniffing away at the puppy, and Bella looked up at her big brother.

Boomer’s tail started wagging as he looked for a way to get his little sister out of the bag so that he could show her around the home.

Eventually, Bella tipped the bag over and crawled out.

Immediately, Boomer started to play with Bella. It was clear that he loved her already. Bella started to play back.

The video cut out there. Bella’s owners then put the footage onto YouTube, where it went viral.

To date, the video has received over 9.5 million views. It also has over 139,000 likes and 4,400 comments. People have been saying things like this:

In the months following this video, Bella managed to fit into the home perfectly.

She has always felt welcome thanks to her extremely friendly and loyal older brother. The two animals even share toys together!

Bella is now a fully grown golden retriever, just like her big brother. The two siblings are inseparable and look forward to spending every day with one another.

Boomer and Bella are lucky to have each other and their owners!
