Sometimes our pets are our single most favorite source of entertainment. Their zany, hyper, downright crazy personalities give us endless laughs. Some of the funniest moments of theirs, though, come from their silly attempts at being sly. That’s exactly what happened for this dog mama, who caught her German shepherd trying to dodge the blame for her loud fart on video.

Lucy is a gorgeous, all-white, German shepherd dog who is now roughly 3-years-old. When she was just a pup of seven months, though, she was still learning a lot of things about herself. Fortunately for us, her mama decided to get a lot of her firsts on video.

In the video you see Lucy lounging around on the couch like a Queen on her throne, not a care in the world. A few moments later, though, and she lets out a very un-royalty-like fart!

Lucy’s owner, Kayla Eggers, was recording her sweet furbaby for funsies. She didn’t know just how funny the video would be, though.

At roughly 16 seconds into the clip, you can hear a nice, airy fart.

The fart was actually pretty quiet in the video, but you can see that it caught Lucy’s attention immediately. The German shepherd is downright shocked, if not appalled at the noise that came out of her. That is, of course, assuming that miss Kayla isn’t trying to pull a fast one on us and pass her own fart off on her poor dog.

Kayla uploaded the video of her dog’s hilarious reaction to her own fart on social media. It was an instantaneous hit, getting hundreds of thousands of views on social media alone.

She later uploaded the hysterical video to YouTube, where it went viral again in 2016 and to date has nearly 2.5 million views.

“What a lady.

To my own amazement, I was able to capture a video of my 7-month-old white German Shepherd Dog, Lucy, experiencing one of her many, MANY farts that day. I was laughing SO hard (as you can hear in the video) that I decided to share it on Facebook. It got a few likes and some great comments so I decided to post it on youtube. Let the world see this so that as humans we can all rest our minds knowing it’s perfectly acceptable to blame the dog,” Kayla captioned her video upload on YouTube.

Perhaps the funniest moment of the entire video is the perplexed look on Lucy’s face just seconds after letting out her fart. It’s as if she had no idea where the sound had come from. Like any smart dog would do, she begins using her nose to investigate.

Seemingly, it looks as though Lucy is going to chalk the funny noise up to the couch, but then she finally smelled the evidence. She sniffs around the couch and then puts her nose right to the source; her butt. Sure enough, if she didn’t know it came from her before, she certainly knew it now.

With a look of disgusted incredulity, the German shepherd bolts off the couch to get away from her own stench while her mom loudly dies of laughter in the background. See the hilarious moment for yourself in Kayla’s video below.
