Dog despises taking baths but loves sneaking into neighbor's home to join their kids for bath time

Do you own a dog? If you do, you might be familiar with them constantly trying to sneak out of the house.

There may be a lot of reasons why these doggos prefer going outdoors. Some pups love the sun and playing all day long. Some dogs, on the other hand, have other dogs or human friends whom they love to visit.

In the case of this particular doggo, there is one other reason why she goes out daily and it is pretty adorable and unique.

Aeida, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in Melbourne, Australia, sneaks out of the house every day for a simple reason.

Just like most dogs, this is because she has friends, a dog, and humans, that she loves to spend time with. However, apart from this, she also sneaks out at a specific time of the day.

Nicole Ackehurst, Aeida’s owner, shares that Aeida found a new best friend in their neighbor’s dog, Cashew. They are inseparable and they love spending time together.

The two dogs are very fond of meeting each other that their families did something to make their regular rendezvous easier.

Nicole and her neighbors decided to build a connecting doggy door where the pups can go back and forth so they can see each other whenever they want. Since the doggy door installation, Nicole observed that Aeida would frequently visit Cashew for playtime.

In the process, the staffy also grew closer to Cashew’s family. The connection between them has gotten deeper and closer ever since the door was built between the two homes.

Aeida got to know the two little kids living in the neighbor’s house and has also befriended them.

The two kids and the dogs would usually roll on the floor laughing and giggling. Their playtime is something that Aeida has always been looking forward to, and she is delighted whenever she comes to visit the kids and Cashew.

One night, Nicole was looking for her staffy when she realized that Aeida is nowhere to be found in the house. There was only one place she would go to, and she was actually right that the dog went next door. However, she went there for another reason.

Nicole received a Facebook message from her neighbors and saw a photo of Aeida as she enjoys being in the bathtub.

In all of her visits to the neighbor, this was the first time that the dog did that. Nicole and her neighbors found it really funny, knowing how much Aeida hated bath time. Apparently, bath time is not so bad if it was done in the neighbor’s house.

That was the first time it happened, and it definitely was not the last. Aeida found the fun in bath time if it was with the kids she loved. She would sneak out nearly every night just to take a bath with the kiddos.

“She will join them at bath time at every chance she gets,” Nicole said. “I’m pretty sure our neighbors love having her over, just as we love having Cashew come over too Aeida and Cashew are great friends, and have such a strong bond. They’re both considered great parts of our families.”
