Ben Campbell and his dog Thomas are going viral for a stunt the dog pulled around Easter – and it’s got people grinning from ear to ear.

Campbell was looking to have some quarantine laughs and ordered a set of fake teeth to play around with.

“I’m rather silly,” Campbell told The Dodo. “I bought the teeth from Etsy to make myself laugh.”

He left the teeth on the table and noticed that little Thomas appeared to be acting a bit shifty later that day.

He knew the pup was up to no good, but he wasn’t sure just what lay in store for him.

“I saw him running suspiciously into his hiding spot,” Campbell said.

Well, we all know what that means – Campbell had a thief on his hands!

But what he didn’t realize is that when he went looking for Thomas, the dog would be chewing on the fake teeth.

“…I chased him down and discovered him with the teeth in his mouth and couldn’t believe my eyes.”

As Thomas played around with his new toy, they managed to get lodged in his little mouth perfectly, making the dog look like he had a big, hilarious smile on his face.

Campbell grabbed his phone and started filming – and the video of “Toothy Thomas” has now been viewed well over 1 million times on YouTube alone.

Once he got his footage, his next task would be catching the little guy – and boy is he fast! And since he figured he might be in trouble, Campbell expected Thomas to make a b-line for the door.

“I was luckily able to grab him on his way out of the room, something I normally cannot do,” he told The Dodo. “I’m glad he wasn’t able to run them outside.”

It’s hard not to laugh at this sneaky smile.

Some commenters even got themselves into trouble for finding it just a little too hilarious:

“I just woke up my entire house laughing harder than I have ever. This was so unexpected it laughed me out of bed. My wife and kids are so mad none of them will watch it and I still can’t stop,” said one man.

Apparently, not everyone loves a good laugh in the middle of the night.

For the few who don’t find it funny, another commenter has spelled it out in great detail (for some reason):

“Reasons for why this is hilarious
– the dog doesn’t know what’s going on
– the teeth are perfectly on they arent on an angle
– the teeth aren’t wobbling around they are firmly on there
– the dog looks like he has a mustache
– small face and big teeth”

Good thing we got that figured out.

Thomas is getting so much attention that his owner decided to start an Instagram page for him – and in 5 days he’s managed to accumulate over 500 followers!

Lest you think the thievery is a one-off occurrence for the canine, the latest video of Thomas shows him stealing a headband and running around the house with it – and he really is fast!

When he gets stopped this time, he has the little bow of the headband in his mouth.
