Scared dog was stranded on roof until Good Samaritan climbs house to save him
Dogs tend to prefer standing in high places.
This is their way to show they dominate the place, plus it is how they can monitor the surrounding grounds and spot any potential threats.
This tendency of theirs causes them to climb on sofas, your head, your car roof or even the roof of your house. And that’s when things start to get dangerous.
As easy as it might be for the animal to climb on the roof, it is equally difficult for it to get back down on the ground. This is something they usually are too afraid to do by themselves and require your help.
Like our dog friend here, who somehow climbed on the roof and didn’t know how to get back down.
At the beginning of the video, we can see the poor doggo going back and forth on the roof, too scared to attempt a jump -good for him- and in desperate need of help.
The whole thing is being recorded on camera by a neighbor who spotted the dog and decided to wait and see what would happen next.
The poor dog is terrified and at a point where he doesn’t know what to do.
Thankfully, a Good Samaritan miraculously appears to help. Obviously, he got to the roof through a nearby window- and begins the attempt to get the dog back inside the house.
However, the dog is still frightened. He is happy that someone is there with him, but probably doesn’t know the guy, so he can’t trust him with his life and he keeps his distance.
The man tries to bring the dog closer to him by offering him some treats.
After a few attempts, he starts gaining the doggo’s trust, but it’s still not enough. So, he decides to climb up the roof himself to get ahold of the dog.
Eventually, he does and the dog starts feeling safe next to him but this only lasts a few moments. Then, the dog decides to leave again.
The man, following the dog, takes more risks climbing further up and moving from side to side, but he is there to help and he does everything he can to bring the dog safely inside. Finally, the dog walks over to the skylight where someone is trying to help from inside.
The man follows the dog and in an “it’s-now-or-never” moment, he grabs the dog and moves toward the person peaking out from the skylight.
The dog then jumps into the house and the Good Samaritan follows.
Their adventure had a happy ending!
The man filming the whole thing is excited this ended happily.
“Good job!” he shouts, “Yeah they rescued the dog,” he goes on, probably talking to someone next to him who he had been watching the whole thing with.
We are glad the dog was rescued by a caring neighbor and we are sure the two of them have by now become good friends!
