Terrified dog stuck on roof of two-story house until Good Samaritan saves him

A dog is a man’s best friend, to be sure.

They are loyal companions that love you more than they even love themselves.

They love to play, walk outside, and sometimes they love to destroy everything in sight, but we find it absolutely adorable and keep on loving them anyway.

Sometimes, however, when they aren’t behaving their best they can often end up getting themselves into some serious trouble. That’s when things can start to get scary.

One dog gave his whole neighborhood a fright recently, for instance, when his curiosity took him out on the roof of his humans’ two-story home!

Daylue Goah, spotted a dog that was stuck on the roof of his neighbor’s house. When someone from animal control arrived, he decided to take a video.

By the time he got back to his bedroom window with his camera, though, the person from animal control was gone. Horrifyingly, the dog was still stuck on the roof and looked frightened as ever!

In the video, it appears the owner isn’t home yet. The dog attempts to go back down and walk over the roof, but he is too terrified to move.

Thankfully, just then we see a Good Samaritan pop up to save him.

It turns out that the family was home after all. A man showed up and offered his help to the owner to rescue the dog.

The Good Samaritan climbed up and out onto the roof through the same window the dog had. Instantly, the dog perks up. Clearly, he’s happy there’s a human that knows he needs his help.

On the other hand, the dog wasn’t quite ready to be helped, he was still so frightened. He tried in vain to coax the scared dog toward him.

Though his tail was wagging, he seemed much too scared to get near the ledge of the roof.

So, they came up with another plan.

They tried to tempt the dog with a treat to get him to move closer. Though the pup is clearly tempted to go for the goodies, his body is still more or less paralyzed by fear.

With no help for it, the man climbs up onto the roof where the dog is.

Without any hesitations, he climbs up to the roof to get him and after trying several times, he finally gets hold of him.

The dog looks so happy to see him. The man sat with him for a while to help calm his nerves and let him know everything was going to be okay.

Finally, after what seems like an eternity, they get the dog down.

The owner shows up and pops their head through the skylight. After the dog saw his owner, he started to walk over toward them.

Once the man knows the dog isn’t going to get spooked and skitter the other way, he follows him over to the opening.

They slowly walk down until they reach the skylight, and he passes the dog to the owner, where she finally gets him inside the house.

Sometimes people will help you, even if they don’t know you.

In the video, you can also hear the neighbors applauding the stranger for his kindness and bravery:

“Good job! Good job!”

“They saved the dog!”

The lovely dog can now play again with his owner safe and unharmed, and he even made a new friend.

The owner was thankful for the stranger’s help in rescuing her dog.

Helping other people who are in need is a simple act of kindness, but it can be a rare one nonetheless.

“Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change.” – Bob Karrey commented.

Kindness is a gift that everyone can afford to give.

It comes easy to people and it’s free. Best of all, there’s no shortage of animals who could use it. Hopefully, this story will inspire you to jump forward and help an animal in need if ever the situation arises…and we’re sure it will.
