Dog on 'put-down' list realizes he's been adopted and literally jumps for joy
Benny is an 8-month-old dog who had been staying at the Carson Animal Care Center in Gardena, California. He was on death row, about to be euthanized only because the shelter was getting too full.

Staff at the Carson Shelter were able to record the moment that Benny the pitbull realized he was getting adopted. The dog’s precious reaction had viewers drying their eyes.
The adorable pit bull came into the Carson Animal Care Center when he was just eight months old.
So goes the story of this dog who was about to be euthanized. But Benny found another chance at life when a family came and decided to adopt him.
Benny was adopted finally finding a home.
And when he walked out of the kennel and breathed the free air, his precious reaction was caught on camera for all to see.
The Saving Carson Shelter Dogs shared the video with the caption, โThis special little guy captured the hearts of everyone who stopped by his kennel. Talk about an adorable moment for a pooch who thought it was the end.
Understandably, Benny was a little cautious at first. But as soon as the pitbull realized that he was to be adopted, his tail began to wag at full energy. And since he was a very happy dog, Benny began to jump for joy.
Benny’s adoption video has been viewed more than 7.9 million times on Facebook. 54k likes and hearts are coupled with over 3.7k comments from people who have all the love and support for the happy pit bull.
Never underestimate the power of adoption.
More often than not, these dogs just need a new, loving home. They all deserve another chance at life.
Sure, they’ll be shy, timid, or even defensive at the shelter, but show them some love and that terrified dog may just surprise you. Benny is a perfect example but there are many others out there.
Just look at the way Benny tugs at that leash!
He just wants out of there and who can blame him?
Benny even looks at the other dogs as if to share the good news that he’s going to a new home. And he certainly deserves to go to a new, forever home.
The Facebook page says that “We help promote Carson Shelter dogs by filming videos of them and posting to social media to make it easier for legitimate adopters, rescue groups, & owners looking for their strays to all find their dogs more easily.”
