If there’s one thing you should know about “plans”, it’s that nothing ever goes to plan.

There are times that, no matter how much you practice and rehearse, things can get a bit off-script.

Dog owners know this all too well.

And when it comes to going rogue or “off script”, there’s no dog who knows that as much as Lobo the Siberian husky.

Lobo is competing in the agility competition.

The Westminster Kennel Club hosts competitions for dogs which include shows and feats of physical performance.

An agility competition is a holistic obstacle course that measures your dog’s speed, agility, focus, and obedience. Lobo was one of the dogs who competed that year.

Lobo is a handsome Siberian husky.

The commentators of the competition thought the same as well so there was a certain level of expectations when it came to what Lobo could do.

At first, you can see that he’s focused and obedient. One would think that he’d breeze through the obstacle course with ease.

Lobo cleared every obstacle quite easily.

Little did his handler know, that would be the first and only obstacle he’d ever get through without any single fault.

The moment Lobo landed and saw the camera, the route he traced with his eyes went out just like that.

His handler circled him back to the first obstacle so that they could try again.

Lobo got back on track, albeit with some difficulty.

He jumped over the bars with no problem and it might’ve given his handler the idea that things were about to go smoother from here.

But by the time he got to the next one, any dog trainer would’ve buried their face in their palms.

Lobo refused to go through the weaving poles.

With a few more minutes of coaxing and guidance, he powered through the course.

“Powered through” meaning “walking through with so much defiance and reluctance”.

After jumping on another set of bars,he did something no one saw coming.

Lobo called it quits, right on the floor.

He went to the sidelines as if investigating where his missing treats were — if he actually had some.

Seeing that he can’t get his way, Lobo breezed through the rest of the course just like what he was trained to do.

He finished the course in 76.3 seconds. The time to beat was 46.32 seconds.

He also had 60 recorded faults but we can just tell that he doesn’t give a dime.

People loved his performance still.

“He did pretty much exactly what I expected from a husky. Can he do the course? Of course, no problem. Does he want to follow the human rules? Nah,” said one commenter.

“The absolute best thing to me about these videos is that when there’s a really fast dog that tears through the course in record time doing everything perfectly, the crowd absolutely loses its mind.” Said another, “And then when there’s a dog who just meanders around and jumps over everything in his own order and moseys through the pole thingies, stops for a snack, or whatever, the crowd still absolutely loses its mind. They just want to love on all the dogs and I can relate.”
