Giant husky who was raised by cats thinks he’s a feline

Hang around somebody long enough and you will eventually pick up some of their quirks and mannerisms. This is especially true of dogs and cats. A case in point is a husky-mix, named Tally, who was raised with cats and eventually came to believe that she was a feline herself, or at least acted like one.

Raised with cats by a previous owner, Tally exhibits a variety of cat-like behavior. The most obvious of this behavior is in the way she likes to sit around like a cat with her legs tucked underneath herself.

Tally also likes to sit in boxes, much like cats do. And it is not just a passing fad. Once she gets in a box, she likes to stay in there for a while, according to her owner.

And, like many cats, Tally likes to lie around and soak in the sun. Her pose when she does this is very reminiscence of a cat. It does make you wonder what other tendencies that she’s picked up along the way.

Her behavior even extends to petting her, with a belly rub getting a sigh from the husky as she stares at you until you stop.

Another dog who thinks he is a cat

Another dog, named Mako, has a similar problem — he thinks he is a cat. After his owners adopted him from the shelter, they noticed his behavior was very cat-like. And while Mako doesn’t meow, he doesn’t bark. And, as soon as the family’s cats climb up on the counters, Mako is not far behind, climbing right up alongside them.

“Whenever Mako sees the boys on the counters or cabinets, he hops up to join them,” Mako’s owner, Bethany Castiller told The Dodo. “He really just wants to be around the cats all the time. If he is not in the room with one of us humans, he’s with the cats.”

Obsessed with the family’s cats, Mako loves to hang around with his feline siblings. His family gets a laugh every time they come into the room and find him somewhere where you wouldn’t normally find a dog. And he doesn’t mind, he is just being like his best friends the cats.

Mako even has his own Instagram page, where his family posts photos of his exploits, especially him acting like a cat.

His family has come to accept the fact that in reality, they adopted another cat and not a dog. And while Tally and Mako are a little different than your ordinary canine, their families take it all in stride. In both of their cases, their families wouldn’t have them any other way.
