I don’t know about you, but I ran as fast as I could to be the first one to the ice cream truck. No one likes waiting in line while little Jimmy listens to the ice cream man list all the flavors for him!

The sound of the ice cream truck invokes an almost visceral reaction to those of us who spent our summer days playing outside until the streetlights came on. Racing into the house to ask mom or dad for money or grabbing what little cash you might have left over from an allowance was a workout in itself.

So let’s just say we can’t judge a feisty pit bull for wanting its own taste of summer when the ice cream truck came by.

In an anonymous video posted to YouTube by Rumble Viral in May of 2016, one sweet dog makes its way over for a nice, cold taste of summer.

And it displayed some serious manners too!

As a woman carrying a dog finished her order at the window, our pup scampers over with its curled tail wagging excitedly. And then he or she takes a seat in order to wait in line.

The tail is going a mile a minute and there’s some lip-licking happening so it’s pretty clear the dog is well-trained by VERY stoked about the possibility of an ice cream cone.

As the first woman in line walks away, the pup knows it’s next. It’s looking over towards the camera nervously, waiting for mom to come over.

One commenter nailed it:

“he kept looking back like “MOM! BRING ME A DOLLAR!!”

The owner (we assume) soon followed behind and got in line with her dessert-craving doggo. After all, ice cream isn’t free, even when you’re cute.

She appears to pay for one delicious vanilla ice cone and they politely step away from the truck to enjoy.

This is one seriously well-trained pit bull. It was social distancing before it was cool, it waited for mom to offer the cone before digging in, and it didn’t let any go to waste.

Remember that very first taste of a delicious soft-serve? Well, that was the first AND last for this dog. It managed to inhale that ice cream cone so fast that we got brain freeze just watching it!

“He wasn’t patient after he got that ice cream he was ready for seconds lol,” joked one commenter.

Apparently this is either a neighborhood where it’s mandatory to own a dog and bring it to the ice cream truck or else it’s some sort of secret dogs-only truck because the original woman comes back to get the rest of her order and she’s still carrying her pooch!

And boy does it give our pit bull the stink-eye when it sees it eating that doggo cone.

That lady better hope her pup gets a lick in or else we predict a bad attitude later on.

If you’re wondering whether it’s ok to give you dog ice cream the answer is…well, kind of, sometimes.

It’s not going to make their bellies feel good later and giving them too much can have the same effect it does on the human waistline, but a treat every now and again probably isn’t going to do much harm.

We’re just glad this pup didn’t choke on its cone after virtually inhaling it.
