Moose, the Golden Retriever, patiently waits on his driveway every single day for his best friend, the mailman.

We often think about how dogs wait for the mailman only to chase them away – but there is always an exemption to every rule.

And this dog is definitely that exemption.

Around the end of January this year, an adorable video went viral. It’s all about Moose, the golden retriever, and his best buddy, their trusted mailman.

Moose is a very handsome, gentle, and adorable dog- no wonder his owners are so proud of him.

In fact, he already had his own Instagram account even before this video went viral.

He’s only two years old, but he sure has captured so many hearts, and the mailman is no exception.

Moose currently lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with his family. His loving home consists of his caring human parents, Mosby, and his tiny human sibling.

Every day, this fluffy dog will patiently wait in their driveway.

He stays there just looking at the cars passing by. As soon as Moose hears the sound of the mailman’s truck, his tail starts to wag. He knows his buddy is coming, and he’s excited!

The truck stops and the friendly mailman starts walking towards Moose. The excited dog then greets his friend with a jump!

Even if the mailman doesn’t have any mail to deliver – he is more than willing to go to Moose and give him a dose of their daily bonding.

We can’t help but say “awwww.”

“It was adorable,” Meghan Gruszynski, Moose’s owner, told in her interview with The Dodo. “I loved how much he loved our boy and loved how much Moose loved saying hi to him.”

Moose sure loves his mailman friend, and the sweet man also reciprocates that love with lots and lots of scratches, pets, and hugs!

Can it get any cuter than that?

After a few minutes of their sweet bonding, our busy and responsible mailman has to say goodbye to Moose.

Being the good boy that he is, he lets his buddy go back to his truck and wags his tail as if saying goodbye.

Tomorrow, he’ll wait for him again.

When Meghan started to notice her dog’s behavior, her heart was filled with happiness. She knew she had to record their sweet moments.

She then decided to upload them to Moose’s Instagram account.

Moose’s family was thrilled that their dog found a new friend – and clearly, this kind mailman loves dogs as well.

Sadly, they later found out the mailman recently lost his dog, and he misses him so much!

“I’ve come to find out our mailman’s dog recently passed away,” Meghan said. “He loves how much love Moose gives him every time he is out on his route.”

Moose’s family realized that, maybe, their dog knew. Maybe, Moose was there to comfort this man who just lost his dog.

We’re teary-eyed! Their bond is so much stronger than we thought.

“Hopefully it continues for many, many years!” Meghan’s sweet message for the mailman. “He’s our mailman ’til he retires, so it should be fun watching their love.”
