Woman waylaid by dog in woods begging her to come help her “beloved” babies

When Ashley Boggs was on her tracks down a forest road, the car in front of her suddenly stopped.
Not knowing what caused the sudden stop, she patiently waited until the car eventually moved.
Right there and then, she soon realized why the car stopped.
There was a brown dog.
It was barking at the passing vehicles, and it was trying its best to capture someone’s attention.
Nobody stopped until Ashley came.
As fate would have it, Ashley works with Miracle for Satos Rescue and rescues stray dogs (and sometimes stray cats) all the time.
She’s used to responding to animal emergencies and just by looking at the dog, she knew it desperately needed her help.
Ashley quickly jumped into action. Upon further checking, she noticed the dog was actually a nursing mom.
The question then was, where were her puppies?
The mama dog seemed like it wanted to show her the way, so she wasted no time and followed the dog’s lead.
Finally, when they arrived at the location, they found two puppies on the ground, close to the road.
Ashley took the mama dog and the two puppies to her car, then went back to check if there were any more puppies around that she might’ve missed.
Luckily, she heard dog cries coming from the woods and that’s when she stumbled upon more puppies.
There were four more puppies crawling in the woods.
“I was surprised that there were so many,” Ashley told The Dodo. “I was also sad because I knew that they wouldn’t have survived if I hadn’t found them. There was no food or water left, and they were in a very secluded area. It is joyful and sorrowful all at the same time. They were just so adorable.”
Ashley soon discovered that the mama dog and her puppies had been dumped by their previous owner.
A discarded crate next to the puppies confirmed her suspicions. Well, at the very least, the crate served another purpose.
Ashley used it to carry all four puppies into her car where their mama and two other siblings were waiting.
As soon as she reached her car, she placed all the puppies together to calm them down.
Now it was time to really save them.
She drove away from the scene and brought all seven dogs (6 puppies and 1 mama dog) to the shelter where they received nothing but genuine love and care.
The mama dog showered Ashley with hugs and kisses.
It was perhaps her way of showing gratitude for rescuing them all.
Shortly after staying at the shelter, they named the mama dog Goji.
The workers in the shelter loved them so much because Goji and her puppies were so affectionate and loving.
“The mom is such an angel,” Ashley shared. “She is very loving and enjoys when people come in and pet her. The puppies are extremely playful. They love to play with the volunteers and tug on the shoe laces.”
Thankfully, two of the six puppies have already been adopted and soon, the rest of Goji’s beloved babies will find their new forever homes and families too.
