Woman releases dog’s ashes near river and is amazed when they form shape of a dog

Natalie Franko Larason and her husband used to live with their dog over the last few years.

The couple adopted the Shepherd/Collie dog from Paws Chicago, a no-kill shelter, and they just loved her and she loved them back unconditionally.

It was the perfect bond.

Biscuit, as her name was, used to love long walks in her favorite parks in Southern California, where she could engage with the ducks and turtles.

So, when the dog unexpectedly passed at 12 years old, the couple was shocked.

Biscuit’s passing left a hole behind.

“She passed away unexpectedly late last year in 2021. [She] showed no signs of illness or even aging really, I just found her ‘asleep’ in one of her usual spots near the bottom of the stairs,” the woman shared with Newsweek.

And, although this meant that sweet Biscuit had not suffered and it was a peaceful, quiet death, Larason couldn’t cope with it.

Especially because she didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to her beloved four-legged friend.

Biscuit wanted to say goodbye.

It seems that Biscuit didn’t want to leave them just like that either. She made sure to say goodbye in a special way.

When Larason’s husband suggested they tossed the dog’s ashes in the river, close to the park where they used to go for walks together, the woman agreed.

So, when they got there, and Natalie tossed Biscuit’s ashes in the air, something magical happened.

They formed the shape of a dog.

Of what Larason said was obviously her dog.

It was as if the dog wanted to remind them that she will always be around and that she was now happy to be going to a better place, across Rainbow Bridge.

“When scattering my Shepherd/Collie dog’s ashes, I was astonished to notice that the shape they formed looked exactly like her. I took it as a sign of her final goodbye and cherish this video,” Larason wrote in the description box when she uploaded the video on YouTube.

The video has since gone viral with more than 150k views, and dozens of comments.

Larason isn’t alone in her experience.

You see, there are so many people who connected with Larason’s experience.

“Made me cry my eyeballs out. This reminds me of an experience with my kitty who passed away when a breeze blew through my sliding door and I felt a cat circling my ankles. It was the wind but it was also my kitty saying goodbye at the same time,” someone wrote.

Others commented that losing a pet is hard and it takes a long time to get over their passing.
Indeed, losing a pet is no less of a pain and leaves no smaller scar in one’s heart than losing a loved one.
Experts explain that, indeed, pets become part of our family and, although grieving a pet and a human are two different things, it does not mean that one loss is easier to cope with than the other.

In this case, seeing the figure of her dog helped Natalie come to terms with the loss of her pet.
