Dog best friends separated by quarantine give each other an emotional hug when they’re reunited

When COVID-19 first hit, it caused many states to impose stay-at-home orders to stop the deadly virus from spreading. This led to isolation, with many people missing their family, friends, and coworkers. It would seem that even our pets missed their other pet friends during the coronavirus quarantine.

One video shows just how much our animals miss each other when they can’t be together for an extended period.

Before COVID-19, the two dogs in this story liked to play together at the local park. They would visit every day with their respective owners and had gotten to be best friends. So, when the lockdown was put in place, they had no idea what had happened.

When they realized that they were no longer going to the park, as usual, the two dogs were devastated.

Their owners were caught by surprise by their reaction to not seeing each other. To remedy this, as soon as they were able, the two owners contacted one another to set up a meeting.

They hoped that a meeting could help the two doggie friends overcome the gloom that had settled over their lives.

Do dogs show affection?

Many dogs show affection for other dogs. Mostly this is through licks or sniffs and not hugs. Other ways that dogs show affection is by wagging their tail, cuddling, and sleeping with other animals.

So, if your dog has another dog outside of your home that they like to play with, make sure to set up a playdate with them occasionally. This should keep your pet from missing them too much.

This behavior is not only restricted to dogs but other animals as well, including the family cat or another pet in your home. And, of course, they also care for the humans in their family and show them plenty of affection as well.
