Donna has been a big fan of Christoper Hopkins’ popular Makeover Guy videos for years. So when she was ready for a change, he’s the first person she called to give her a new look.

In some cases, Hopkins – who runs his “appearance studio” out of Minneapolis – has his work cut out for him, Donna is stunning as is. We’d be perfectly happy to wake up looking like this 68-year-old!

Beautiful inside and out

Not only is Donna stunning, but she’s a real sweetheart.

Hopkins wrote in the video’s caption:

“Donna is a big fan. She even brought my favorite cologne and a lovely charcuterie board and salted chocolates as a host gift. That’s how you know someone has been following along!”

Wow! Beautiful AND thoughtful.

While Donna did get a relatively drastic makeover, it’s hard to imagine how one might improve on her look other than to give her hair some volume and fill out her brows. Her skin is lovely, her cheekbones are high, her hair seems to be long and healthy – she’s a lucky lady!

She even has the perfect husband!

“For eleven years now, my husband and I have been celebrating a holiday that he created for me called […] Reasons I Love You. This came about in 2009 when […] I had a lot of unrelated health issues one thing after another, and I just kept saying ‘I just wanna be able to look back in 2009 and say that was the year I was sick.”

Feeling younger

Donna says she’s never felt her age, but now she wants to look as young as she feels. And with a husband 24 years her junior, we can see how she might scrutinize herself a little harder.

So Hopkins gave her the royal treatment.

“With thin/fine hair that has a natural wave, but falls flat, I showed Donna how to use pin curls to give body to her hair,” he noted in his caption. “Kayla [his makeup artist] brought out her deep-set eyes with light and made her lips fuller.”

But we’ll be honest, we thought this was a rare miss for Hopkins. Donna looked younger (to us at least) beforehand. She can certainly pull off a younger haircut than she got and the light makeup around her eyes that is meant to make them pop simply make inevitable lines and wrinkles more visible.

Don’t get us wrong, she’s still a beauty! And more importantly, she’s happy with her look.

The big reaction

The sweetest moment of the video that has pulled in over 1 million views in under a year is the moment Donna’s husband walks in.

He said he felt like he should applaud, noting that he was almost afraid to touch her since she looked like such a work of art.

Apparently, he also likes blondes, so Donna was confident that he would enjoy her lighter look.

Commenters on the video seemed to enjoy the transformation and the couple themselves, who were just too sweet for words.

“Obvious from the “before” picture that she was already a beauty and Christopher was going to enhance it a few levels with his skills and magic. My fave thing when there is a husband reaction involved, is seeing them respond the way this gentleman did,” said one woman.
