So here are the ingredients (in metric units) that you’ll be needing to achieve these mouthwatering cookies:

  • 226 grams of butter, it should be softened (2 sticks)
  • 164 grams of granulated sugar
  • 150 grams of packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 6.25 ml vanilla extract
  • 1.25 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 280 grams of flour
  • 45 grams rolled oats
  • 6 grams baking soda
  • 6 grams of salt
  • 1 Pinch cinnamon
  • 465 grams good quality chocolate chips
  • 220 grams chopped walnuts

Another good news is, this will already make 26 pieces of cookies.

Step 1:

Combine cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer. It should be on medium speed and let it mix for about 2 minutes.

Step 2:

Add the eggs, vanilla, and lemon juice. Then, blend them with a mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. After that, switch to medium speed for about 2 minutes, or until light and fluffy, scraping down bowl.

Step 3:

In this step, you can now add flour, oats, baking soda, salt, and one pinch of cinnamon. Put the mixer on low speed and let it blend for about 45 seconds.

Take note: don’t overmix!

Step 4:

It’s time to remove the bowl from the mixer and add the chocolate chips and walnuts.

Step 5:

Since all the ingredients are already added, you can now portion dough with a scoop (about 3 tablespoons) onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. They should be about 2 inches apart. This step is very much important to be followed. Having precise distribution of the dough is definitely a must!

Step 6:

Preheat the oven to 300°F. Then bake them for 20 to 23 minutes. If the edges are golden brown and the center is still soft, then it’s perfectly baked.

After getting them out of the oven, just let them cool on the baking sheet for about 1 hour.

And that’s it, you can now enjoy them and share them with your family!
