Drive-thru guy makes customers' day with his impressive 'movie trailer' voice
You probably went to school with a few kids who were insanely talented at singing or acting, and you were certain that they’d go on to do something big.
The reality is, however, that these kids usually end up doing something pretty mundane with their lives. They might enter a couple of talent competitions, but get nowhere, and end up accepting pretty quickly that it’s just hard to get noticed nowadays.
It’s mind-boggling to think about just how many undiscovered talented people there are.
In many cases, the person doesn’t even realize that they have a talent, or simply undervalues themselves. As a result, they can end up stuck in the wrong career for their lifetime.
A young man named Josh Lewis is one of these people.
Josh made waves when he was featured on Inside Edition, who had heard that Josh had the best voice in the fast-food industry, and wanted to know more.
When the cameras came out, Josh demonstrated what he could do – and he didn’t disappoint.
At the time of filming, Josh worked as a Wendy’s drive-thru. He told Inside Edition that Wendy’s wasn’t his dream – he wanted to be a voiceover artist.
Many people in Josh’s position could grow disheartened, and even give up. But Josh was determined to make his job more entertaining by putting his own spin on it.
He admitted:
“I hit a dead end, stuck in the fast food industry. Nowhere to go, nothing to do, not enough funds to go anywhere else. So I said, “How can I make this better?”
Josh truly does have an entertaining movie-trailer voice.
He manages to turn the average experience of ordering food at the drive-thru into something truly magical.
When customers pull up at the drive-thru speaker, Josh greets them with equal parts charisma and professionalism.
He sounds like a sports commentator, or an ad voiceover for something far more epic than burgers and fries.
When you listen to Josh speak to his customers, you can’t help but smile.
He clearly has talent – and all it would only take the right person driving through Wendy’s for that talent to be realized.
While Josh’s district manager understands that Josh isn’t quite aligning with corporate protocol in his job role, they don’t mind.
Josh keeps his customers happy, and that’s what counts. Anything to give the local store a little good publicity can’t hurt, after all!
It’s been five years since Josh’s internet fame, so hopefully, he’s now landed his dream job.
As someone who manages to make even the most mundane questions like “Do you want sauce with your order?” sound exciting, Josh has a bigger future ahead of him than fast food.
Let’s hope he’s made it big in the world of TV or radio by now.
Watch the video below to see how Josh transforms his customers’ drive-thru experiences into something they’ll remember for a long time.
