This super easy bathtub cleaning hack will save you so much time
No one enjoys cleaning. If only there were a way to make cleaning easier. Well, with this trick, cleaning the bathtub can be done with almost no effort at all.
Most people think that the only way to make cleaning easier is to hire someone else to do it.
While that may be effective, not everyone can afford to hire an extra pair of hands to make their home shiny and mess-free.
Luckily, there’s a way to significantly cut down on your bathtub cleaning time. And it only involves using cleaning supplies that you probably already have at your disposal.
All that you need is some dish soap (preferably blue dish soap) and a broom. That’s literally it.
Before you start, you need to make sure that the broom is completely clean, or the trick won’t work.
Firstly, you have to squirt a generous amount of the soap all over the bathtub. Make sure to get the sides as well as the base.
Then wet the broom a little and then spread the soap around the tub until the soap is evenly distributed. This will make all of the dirt on the tub loose.
Lastly, rinse the tub. If you want, use the shower head. Alternatively, you can wash it with a bucket and the broom.
Then all the dirt will be gone and you’ll have a shiny bathub once again.
There are a couple other things you can do to make the cleaning even more effective.
For instance, you can let the dish soap soak into the tub for a while, if the grime is really stuck in. You can also wet the broom with vinegar instead of water, to give the cleaning an extra kick.
Also, if you make the surfaces of the tub warm before you clean, then the grime will come off even easier.
You can do this by filling the tub with about four to five inches of hot water and then splashing this water onto the surfaces.
And if you wanted a few other tips for cleaning other parts of the bathroom quicker, then just keep on reading:
To clean your showerhead quick, then just get a baggie, fill it with vinegar and wrap it around the showerhead. Leave it for three hours. After that, a quick brush with a cloth will have the showerhead looking shiny. You can also do this with faucets.
If your appliances have rust stains, there’s a super cheap way to de-rustify them. Instead of buying rust stain removers, just get lemons and table salt. Firstly, pour that salt onto the rust stain, covering the area entirely. Then squeeze out the lemon juice onto the salt. Leave the salt/lemon juice sitting on the rust stain for three hours. Rinse the salt and rust away, and the stain will disappear with it.
To clean the grout between tiles, a toothbrush is the best thing. Just soak the toothbrush into some lemon juice and scrub away.
And here’s the golden rule for cleaning the bathroom: start at the top and work your way down. That means starting at the wall tiles and ending at the floor.
