The first thing you want to do is add the cups of water into a large mixing bowl. Next up is the instant yeast, and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Add all of the bread flour into the mix too, with the salt sprinkled on top as well as the oil.

Mix the whole thing up very well, and make sure that the water is able to absorb the flour completely. It’s recommended to use a wooden spoon as it tends to get a lot less sticky than metal.

Grab a large wooden surface and knead the entire mixture for roughly eight minutes. Feel free to knead a bit longer and take some breaks if you get tired. You’ll notice that everything starts looking like more like a big ball of unbaked bread, and let the whole thing rest for around five minutes – just lay a cloth on top of it.

Sprinkle the top with flour, turn it over again and start trying to make a ball shape again, until it fits back in the bowl. Add a touch of flour on top of again, put the cloth back on top of there and let it rest for an hour this time.

You’ll be quite surprised when you remove the cloth after this time because if everything has gone well, the bread should have risen quite substantially. Dust it with flour again and try to get the ball of bread out of the bowl by going around the edge with a spoon or a sharp object.

It’s a pretty big piece of dough, so you’ll want to divide the whole thing into two pieces. You’ll want to knead everything a bit more and sprinkle regularly with flour, as demonstrated in the video below.

The next step is actually baking the bread, and you’ll want to grab two pans and butter them first. Make sure that both pieces of bread fit comfortably in their respective pans as they’ll need a bit more room in the oven. Before we start baking, however, let everything rise again for an hour.

After about half an hour of letting them rest, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (205 degrees Celsius). When the hour is up, place the two pieces of bread in the oven and let them bake for 40 minutes.

The result is some delicious homemade bread! Your kitchen will start smelling like a bakery, without a doubt. Make sure that you don’t overdo the baking – you definitely don’t want to burn the bread and make it too crispy.
