People from all walks of life come and go to the airport. Quite an interesting place, if I may say, because the airport holds a lot of stories, from the most painful separations to the happiest reunions.

And talking about reunions, there are tons; it could be a homecoming of a soldier who’s been away from his family after being deployed, family reunions, or just a husband and a wife who missed each other so much, just like the couple in this viral video!

Love doesn’t age.

That’s what this couple proved to everyone when the video of their reunion at the airport went extremely viral!

A woman named Valerie Jane was waiting for a bus at Van Nuys FlyAway terminal at LAX in Los Angeles, California. With all the people walking past her – one man captured her attention. It was an elderly man, but not an ordinary one because he was holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. The man, Bernard Mills, was standing among the crowd and patiently waiting for the love of his wife, none other than his wife, Carolyn.

In the viral video, you could clearly see the sparkle in Bernard’s eyes, and it’s pretty obvious that he was really ecstatic about Carolyn’s arrival. His smile and the way he held both the chocolates and flowers; it’s simply heartwarming.

And just after over 2 minutes since Valerie started filming, Carolyn finally arrived.

The thoughtful husband greeted her with a sweet smile, a tight hug, and a couple of “welcome back” kisses. – a combination that could melt anyone’s heart.

It’s all thanks to Valerie for being there at the right moment and at the right time. She uploaded the video of the sweet reunion, and it buzzed on the entire world wide web and up to local to national news channels. If you happen to be scrolling randomly on social media, there’s a chance that you’d still see this video.

“As I was waiting to get onto the bus at Van Nuys Flyaway, I notice this old man standing with roses and chocolates in his hand waiting for his wife to come from the airport,” Valerie wrote in the video’s description. “This shows the epitome of love. My heart melted and it showed me that this kind of love exists.”

At first glance, you would really think that Bernard and Carolyn have been married for decades; however, they actually are not. Both of them lost their spouses after nearly 50 years of marriage, and they only stumbled upon each other on a dating site called eHarmony back in 2007. They only got married after three years.

They later on, discovered that Carolyn left to attend a wedding in Delaware. She was gone for two weeks, and that’s long enough for Bernard to miss her that much. Perhaps, he wasn’t used to being apart from his beloved wife for that long.

Well, whatever the reason may be, it’s clear that they are both lucky to have each other.
