This adorable English Bulldog is a real-life “California Skater Girl”
English Bulldogs are among some of the most interesting breeds there is. They are known for their sweet and loving nature, not to mention their goofy antics and outgoing personalities. These fun-loving dogs are known for something else, though, too. Their love of being the center of attention.
It’s no wonder, then, that this happy-go-lucky bulldog named Henny loves being a California skater girl so much.

According to her dad, Ryan Lynch, the bulldog was born to skate.
“She was just born to do it. She loves it more than anything. Absolutely anything. She’s definitely a California skater girl,” he tells The Dodo.
The wily pup lives in Long Beach, California and discovered her love of skateboarding while out on a walk in Venice with her dad one day when she saw a skateboarder go by.
“I used to live over by the beach. We went to Venice and we’re walking up towards the boardwalk, some guy came shooting out on a skateboard. The board came, kind of rolling past us. She started wiggling and getting all excited,” Lynch continues.

Henny’s dad asked the skater if his excited pup, who was only just 10 weeks old at the time, could “check out” his skateboard, and he was happy to oblige.
The bulldog waddled up to the board and gave it a tentative sniff.
After circling around it a couple of times, she decided that she was going to take a turn. It only took her a few seconds to figure it out.
“She’s wiggling, does that about twice, goes behind it, puts her paws on it, pushed it a couple times and jumped on the skateboard,” Lynch recalls.
It didn’t take long before she had the hang of the board down pat. She could effortlessly push herself with her paws. If she got going too fast or the board headed in a direction she didn’t want to go in, she would just jump off and use her mouth to turn it around, if necessary.
Then Henny’s dad surprised her with her very own skateboard and she fell absolutely in love with it.
She practiced skating all the time, even when she was in the house. Lynch gave her another “indoor” board without wheels to play with in the house, and whenever she’s bored you can find her jumping on it or giving it kisses.
When she began to get fluid and comfortable with high speeds and steering, her dad took her to the boardwalk to skate to her heart’s content. That’s when she fell in love with skating the boardwalk that she’s now famous for.
After a while, Hennessy started to really hone her skills.
Dad began taking her to skate parks and she showed no fear. The friendly bulldog walks right up to the other skaters and joins their pack. When it’s time to skate, she positions her board where she wants it and cruises. This skater girl proved she could handle her own on the ramps at the skate park.
Of course, learning any new sport doesn’t come without its bumps and bruises.
“She gets going fast, too! She’s fallen plenty of times. She gets right back up and she’s ready to go,” Lynch says.
She might fall, but it looks like she spends a lot more time on the board than off it compared to a lot of her human friends. In fact, Henny got so good that she even started attracting sponsors, including every dog’s favorite hooman celebrity, Ceasar Milan.
Her other sponsors include Wild Earth Pets, The Dodo, Hamboards, Happy Again Pet, and others. Even though she loves all the adoration from her thousands of Instagram followers, and the goodies and support she gets from her pawesome sponsor fam, there is one thing this bulldog loves more than any other.
