Expert cleaner on TikTok shows hidden compartment in toaster that most people don’t know about

Kacie is a professional cleaner. Aside from her day job of keeping things spit-spot, she also uses TikTok to give people cleaning tips. Her many years of experience truly show in the advice she gives.

You don’t get this far as a professional cleaner without knowing your fair share of tricks. Kacie knows a ton of them, and it’s these tricks that got her hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok. One of her most successful TikToks illustrates how to clean a toaster.

In it, she demonstrates that some folks have been doing it all wrong. Do you really know your toaster that well?

Kacie grabs a little handle and pulls out a tray from the toaster. A few of us might’ve known about crumb trays, but most of her audience certainly didn’t. Imagine how many crumbs must have accumulated in their toasters by now!

That’s not the only revelation she bestowed on us.

We’ve all pulled hair from the shower drain before. It’s gross, but someone has to do it. Here’s where Kacie provided another useful tip: Don’t just carelessly pull out any random strand. Where there’s one, there could be a lot more. Before you know it, you’ve got something that looks an awful lot like a dead rat.

You know, just a warning.

While we’re on the topic of bathrooms, when was the last time you cleaned your shower screen? I hope it was recently.

Regular use of the shower can get soapy water in many places. One of those places is the screen, and it can get real obvious being a transparent surface. Gunk and film can form on there after a while, something you shouldn’t want.

Well, all it takes is a non-scratch sponge and the right cleaning agent. Oh, and some effort.

What you need to look for are surface cleaning agents. They come in both the paste and powder variety, though both work equally well. Kacie demonstrates using the Australian brands Gumption and Barkeeper’s Friend. Apply them to your sponge and wipe away at that blurry shower screen!

Now your shower screen is the clearest it’s been in months. Believe me, you wouldn’t want to put your hands on that gunk and film the next time you shower.

She’s also got a tip for cleaning stainless steel kitchen sinks, which is always welcome!

Dirty dishes can make the surfaces of a sink pretty gross after a while. All kinds of residue, gunk, or worse: mold, can accumulate on your nice old sink after not long. All you need to get rid of those is some bicarb soda or cream cleanser.

With a good cleaning sponge, it should wipe all that nasty stuff right off.

Thank goodness Kacie brought these to our attention. A lot of people’s toasters, sinks, and showers might’ve been long overdue for a clean by now. In fact, the only thing stopping some folks from cleaning is the knowledge of how to do it.

Guess that means we’ve got no excuse now. Time to scrub those showers and clean the toasters!
