Family overjoyed when their neighborhood throws parade for 3-year-old daughter on her last day of chemo

Cancer is one of the most terrifying words a family can hear. Leaving most with a big pit in their stomach knowing what the future may hold. Chemotherapy is a harsh and weakening treatment that affects everyone differently. 3-year-old Mable Franks from Prior Lake Minnesota has been undergoing chemotherapy for two-thirds of her life.
All of the treatments became ānormalā for little Mable, but all of that was going to change.

After her two-year cancer battle, Mable was finally going to take her last chemotherapy pill. That means for a big celebration! Unfortunately with the spread of COVID-19, a party wasnāt looking very likely. But, that wasnāt going to stop all of Mableās family and friends from throwing a socially distanced festivity!
Mable was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was just 14 months old.

She had been undergoing chemotherapy for two years intravenously and her last treatment would be taken as a pill. Mableās bravery is undeniable as she never stopped fighting while trying to be a normal 3-year-old at the same time. Although traumatic experiences like chemo would seem to dim the light of a child, Mable keeps her spirits high.
After two long years, Mable can finally put the past behind her enjoy being 3!

To celebrate the monumental news Mableās friends and family brought a parade to her cul-de-sac. Firetrucks and cars were decorated in her honor while friends carried signs and balloons to remind Mable just how fearless she is. Signs read #TeamMable, We Love Mighty Mable, & No More Chemo.
Mable waved to all of the familiar faces driving by celebrating her brave fight.

Bring on the tissues, because we couldnāt be more proud of little Mabel! Mableās grandmother Joan Franks told KARE11,
āWe just felt we had to do something to let her know how proud we are and what a warrior and survivor sheās been,ā
Mableās parents were so moved by their incredible support system.

Itās been a long uphill battle and Mabel finally gets to live the normal life she deserves. Mableās mother Meagan Franks told KARE11,
āItās really all sheās known, since she was 14 months old, sheās been going through treatments,ā
No way was COVID-19 going to stop the partying from being had.

Family and friends honked their horns with glee knowing that Mabel can finally kiss cancer goodbye! Mableās dad held her proudly in his arms while Mableās smile lit up the whole cul-de-sac.
This beautiful celebration will warm your heart with joy.

Meagan Franks told KARE11 after the marvelous parade,
āIām just really grateful and weāve had an amazing support system, as you can see. Itās very emotional.ā
Tears swelled in her motherās eyes knowing the love and support her family has is endless. Mable is one lucky girl in all kinds of ways.
Her story reminds us to be grateful for every day we have.

Mableās brave spirit is so strong and weāre overjoyed to know that she can finally enjoy her days without chemotherapy!
