When dancing with a partner in a competition, it is not usual to see a duo of a father and his daughter.

We are used to seeing dance partners who are siblings, sometimes husband and wife, but most of the time, we see dance partners who are friends or unrelated.

This is the reason why Sam and Sydney Kemble West make such a unique dance duo.

Sam is Sydney’s dad and they join dance competitions together!

Sam and Sydney are not ordinary dancers. In fact, they win championships!

In the National Shag Dance Championships in Myrtle Beach, the father-daughter duo stunned the crowd with their incredible moves while shag dancing.

Their talent is clear and it runs in the blood, that’s for sure!

The duo danced to the tune of Eric Marienthal’s jazz version of “Stand By Me” and they ended up bagging the gold because their routine absolutely wowed the judges, and everyone in the room was blown away by their stellar performance.

It is not surprising that Sydney is a great dancer because her parents are legendary dancers, too.

Sam started shag dancing at the age of nine, thru the influence of his mother, Barbara.

He joined various competitions as he grew up and bagged multiple championships in his career as a junior shag dancer.

He met his wife, Lisa, who is also a known shag dancer.

They paired up and together, they won their first big title at the Sophisticated Swing Division at the US Open Swing Dance Championships.

Sam is a seven-time champion of the Carolina Shag Division at the USA Grand National Dance Championships and a three-time US Open Shag Champion.

Sydney obviously inherited her parents’ talent.

This showed when she partnered with her Dad to join the National Shag Dance Championships.

The video of their winning number was uploaded online and thousands of hearts melted with their incredible number.

The clip racked up more than 440,000 views and people online are smitten by the duo’s captivating dance number.

Their performance is absolutely stunning.

When the music started, it was clear that the dancers on the floor are professionals.

They glided with ease and grace, and their moves are effortlessly elegant.

Are these people even thinking about what they are doing?

Their movements are amazing, and they look natural on the dance floor.

It is quite incredible to watch such a tremendously talented pair gracing the dance floor.

It was a moment that everyone in that room was lucky to witness.

It was not surprising at all that Sam and Sydney won the championship.

They were even the Overall Champions of the competition. Wow!

The audience kept on cheering them and it was a performance that will certainly never forget.

Sam and Sydney were outstanding dancers that day and their winning routine is something you should definitely watch.
