If you grew up loving music, then you will love what you’re about to see. Josh Groban is one of the all-time best singers, and many of his fans are familiar with every song he’s ever produced or covered.

I saw this viral video of a daughter and her dad singing the song, “The Prayer” and I immediately remember it from when I was younger. This song is very difficult to do well because it needs to sound airy and angelic. If you don’t do it right, it’s just another song. But if you perform it how Groban does, it can bring a tear to the eye of anyone who is listening.

Presenting hope during a tough time, this duo brought a smile to my face as I watched the clip during a stress-filled day.

This song didn’t originate with Groban either.

The Prayer was originally penned by a group of songwriters and was made for the movie “Quest for Camelot” to be sung by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. But instead of English, the song was supposed to be sung in Italian.

It won an award in 1999 as the Best Original Song at the Golden Globes much before Groban recorded his own rendition.

When Mat and Savanna performed in the comfort of their own home, they knew it wouldn’t be easy, but they were up for the challenge.

The duo from Utah was singing in a perilous time of isolation. Many of us are working from home, or out of a job completely. The two singers have been releasing various songs since around March 6th.

Most recently, there was an earthquake in Utah and things had been looking down, but Mat and Savanna want to bring hope and light to a world that’s pretty dim right now.

When the daughter begins singing, you will have no choice but to sit and listen in awe.

But when Mat starts singing you have to wonder “Is everyone in this family ridiculously talented?”

Mat serenades us with his amazing vocal talents, and you might want to get a tissue. With a voice as smooth as honey, you would think he would lose some power. Because that’s where professional musicians make their money. But the father’s voice grows in power as the song continues.

It’s amazing that because of the internet, we can bring this incredible duo into our own homes.

The way their voices blend together at the end of the song has to be a family thing. It basically sounds like one voice!

Their family bonds go deeper than their voices, and both are inspiring as we all go through a rough time.

Their mission is to provide help and hope to people in these hard times. Many viewers have commented that just listening to their songs has helped them as we all deal with various forms of isolation.
