Baby shows off during muscle-flexing contest with dad
While being a parent is undoubtedly an exciting job, it’s important to remember that your kids look up to you. From the moment that they are born, they watch what you do and mimic your mannerisms, behavior, habits, and more.
Thus, it’s always good to keep in mind that you’re always being observed. That’s certainly what one father learned as he was getting his little one ready for a bath.
Eight-month-old Hadley was getting prepared for a nice bath by his father when the two of them captured an adorably memorable moment on camera. Truly, it’s one to remember.
Hadley’s father props him on the bathroom counter, facing the mirror. His father stands behind him so he doesn’t fall. As the two of them stand in front of the mirror together, resembling a dynamic duo, they begin to make “he-man” poses in front of the mirror.
If you haven’t laughed or smiled in some time, be prepared to start again.
When the camera starts rolling, Hadley tightens his muscles and lets out the fiercest baby roar you might ever hear. Of course, his father follows suit by flexing his muscles as well and roaring. Hadley loves to see it.
As his father continues to flex and roar, Hadley mimics him, instantly becoming the strongest baby in the world in mere seconds.
In fact, he becomes so excited, he can’t help but begin bouncing up and down during his poses.
It isn’t long before his father loses his composure and begins laughing as his son tries his darndest to be just like his dad. His father laughs so much that he can barely formulate sentences. But seeing that Hadley’s attention begins to wane, he picks him up to finish bathtime.
“I think we’re done,” he says with a smile as he carries his son away from the mirror.
It’s easily one of the most touching father-and-son videos we have seen. One thing is for certain, it’s a viral hit! Thus far, the video has racked up over 7 million views since its premiere in 2014. In addition, it has over 35,000 ‘likes’ as well.
It looks like baby Hadley is on his way to becoming the world’s next big bodybuilding star. Look out, Arnold!
But perhaps the reason why Hadley wants to be a strong man is because of his father. It’s likely that Hadley picked up on the poses and the sounds from watching his dad. According to parentingcounts.org, children as young as infants, simply imitate the actions of those around them.
Still, what happens to be the most integral part of the interaction between the two in this video is that there is one. It’s moments like these, quality time with your children, that has long-lasting effects on them.
In this case, it’s the “Father Effect” that we are likely witnessing which simply refers to the benefits of having a paternal presence around.
Sociologist, John Amato states, “There needs to be a minimum amount of time spent together, but the quality of time is more important than the quantity of time.”
Fortunately, it looks like these two are off to a healthy start!
