“I’m a Dad from New Zealand making comical weekly videos about being a Dad, and about New Zealand. That’s about it really,” he writes underneath all of his videos.

In one of his latest videos, he invites his absolutely adorable 2-year-old toddler on the show and teaches her how to sing.

Teaching your daughter how to sing, especially if she’s just two years old, has got to result in some funny antics. The video starts as a “serious” instruction type video, but it doesn’t take long before the smiles and laughs begin to appear. Daughter Nala absolutely loved being in one of daddy’s videos, and she wasn’t shy to show off her musical talent either.

The satirical instruction videos are Jordan’s trademark, and his whole YouTube career started with one single video he posted as a joke. It went viral and “How To Dad” was born!

The first video wasn’t even meant to be public, Jordan made it for a friend who was about to become a father for the first time. He was shocked to see that the video went viral overnight! The man kept on making videos, and they’re just an absolute joy to watch.

“I just think if I find it funny and it’s a laugh for parents, it ticks the right boxes,” he said to The Guardian.

The video starts with Jordan trying to teach the fundamentals of music.

We’re not sure how well he would do as a professional singing coach or music teacher, but we can’t deny that it’s just hilarious to watch. Jordan goes through all the octaves, and every single time, Nala follows. When you notice that the little girl even tries to mimic her dad’s body movement, you can’t help but smile.

When the “fundamentals” are over, Jordan decides to go through a couple of genres. First up is the Pop genre, quickly followed by R&B. When he shows her how to perform ‘Opera’, Nala gets excited and lifts her arms. You can tell that these two are just a perfect comedic duo.

The best part was yet to come: Country and Western.

Daddy goes ahead and sings a piece of “Achy Breaky Heart”, and it manages to do the trick just fine. Baby Nala responds with some funny gibberish.

But what about Death Metal? Now that’s a pretty unique musical genre for a two-year-old, but Nala does her absolute best and really gets into the whole thing.

In his interview with The Guardian, Jordan admits that parenting is a really tough job, tougher than it looks in the videos. However, he says that’s always important to keep laughing.

“90% of it as a parent you’re making it up, and my videos make it look like fun, very carefree. But I’m filming when my kids are in the best mood possible. I’m like every other parent, having sleepless nights or trying to grit my teeth when they’re trying to draw on the walls. But the videos, I remind myself and they’re there to remind all parents, that you’ve got to sometimes step back and have a bit of a giggle.”
