Flash mob at St. Pancras International has impeccable Michael Jackson dance moves
When, in 2006, Zoe Jackson was offered a place at the National Youth Theater, she knew she had to find a way to subsidize her course fees.
Then, she had an idea: she would found a performing arts company that would be run by young people and also addressing young people who dreamed of working in this field.
From there, the company grew and, today, it includes a School of Performing Arts, Dance Company, and a charity The Dream Foundation.
One of the things they do is flashmobs.
As they explain on their website, they create team-building flashmobs of staff members in order to come together and learn how to properly perform a flashmob. They also perform on behalf of other companies to help them promote their brands and to give their audiences a wow moment!
So far, they have performed several flashmobs in different places, but one of the most impressive was the one they did ten years ago at St. Pancras International.
In the video below, we can see the international train station in London, from which the Eurostar departs to reach other countries of central Europe- Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.
What is also important to keep in mind is that it was New Year’s Eve 2010, which means the station was packed with people who couldn’t wait to leave for a holiday or passengers who were coming from abroad to spend their holidays in England.
And this is where a big surprise awaited all of those people, who had no idea what was about to go down in just a few moments.
So, as people were coming and going, suddenly a guy finds the perfect spot to show off his Michael Jackson moves. Of course, there’s music in the background, and this is none other than “Billie Jean”.
At first, he’s alone and several people gather around him to watch his performance when suddenly, some of those bystanders join him in his dance.
That’s when the crowd realizes that there’s something bigger going on here, and they just can’t wait for what is to follow!
As the dancers who join the flashmob group become more and more, the music changes and we can hear “I feel good”, “Freak out”, and “U can’t touch this” playing on the speakers.
The crowd is excited about what they are watching and they can’t help cheering for the group, while they use their phones to film part of the performance, of course!
By then, dozens of dancers have joined the group and they are giving the performance their all!
While people were probably in a hurry to catch a train or couldn’t wait to hit the city of London, they have now all stopped to watch the awesome performance- as if time has stopped for a while.
When “Please don’t stop the music” plays, they finish their act and they disperse in the crowd as if nothing ever happened.
Everyone who watched their performance was left speechless and only had nice words to say about the dancers.
This was definitely a unique experience for those who were there that day, and they will likely remember it for the rest of their lives.
You can watch the astonishing flashmob too, in the video below.
