Flight attendant ducks into the cockpit to tell pilot that a couple has a baby onboard

No matter how dire circumstances are, there are always glimpses of hope and good people in the world, something that this story will most definitely prove. These two new parents Caren and Dustin Moore were a bit nervous when they boarded a Southwest Airlines flight headed to Colorado, but then one of the flight attendants made their day by giving them an incredible surprise.

Being parents actually wasn’t straightforward for the lovebirds, as they’ve been trying to conceive for almost a decade.

Because they had difficulties having a child of their own but at the same time had a huge wish to raise little ones, they decided to adopt. The couple was already on their way home, with their adopted infant child in their arms – they were absolutely thrilled to finally be able to raise a child.

The whole experience definitely didn’t go as smoothly as hoped, but the couple managed to stay positive.

Adoption processes like these take up a lot of time, effort, and paperwork, but in the end, that’s all worth it. Sometimes things went wrong or they had a set-back, and Dustin would regularly inform his friends and followers on Twitter which curveballs life would throw at them. Not being able to conceive really affected their life in a negative way, but their luck was about to turn and they couldn’t be happier with their newly adopted baby.

A couple of friendly flight attendants met this couple of the plane and heard about their story, and they secretly came up with a really sweet idea.

It actually all started because Dustin and Caren were apologizing to most of the other passengers in their area, letting them know about the baby. As you might know, babies don’t exactly have the tendency to stay still during a flight, and things could potentially get noisy. During the first hour of flying, their little princess actually managed to sleep, but things started getting noisier when she woke up.

After an hour, it was evident that their daughter needed a change of diapers.

A diaper change in the middle of an airplane in coach, it’s not exactly an ideal situation. Luckily, one of the flight attendants, Jenny, was more than happy to help this couple out. She escorted them to a free space at the back of the plane for the diaper switch.

“After a change, Jenny and another passenger complimented my beautiful daughter and politely asked what had prompted a flight with such a young infant. I gave them the shortened adoption story, to which they hastily offered congratulations, and shared a few more kind remarks,” Dustin recalls.

One of the other flight attendants overheard the story, and he came up with a beautiful idea.

He was intrigued and headed over to the couple to talk about their baby, but he had a good reason to.

After the talk, flight attendants Bobby and Jenny headed towards the cockpit for a special message.

“The attendant Bobby came on and announced a special guest on the flight. Our daughter. ‘She’s just been adopted by her parents Caren and Dustin, and is making her way home.’ The entire cabin erupted in cheers and applause.”

The flight attendants handed out napkins to the passengers, who could write messages or advice for these new parents.

Dustin and Caren compiled all of them in a cute book, and they’ll definitely take most of the advice at heart.

“Enjoy every minute, because they will go faster than you think,” one of the passengers wrote.

“Drink more wine,” was another golden tip.

One particular comment stood out, and it was quite touching to read:

“I was adopted 64 years ago. Thank you for giving this child a loving family to be part of. Us adopted kids need a little extra love. Congratulations.”

Flight attendants Bobby and Jenny, who were actually married, gave this couple a beautiful baby shower in the air!
