12 Foods you should never order from fast food joints, according to their employees

We can’t help but admit that there are some fast foods we can’t stay away from every now and then. It is completely normal to have a guilty pleasure, whether that’s Taco Bell or McDonald’s. While it’s probably not best to eat it every day, it’s okay to have a treat every now and then!

What we may not know though, is that there are some foods that we should never order from our favorite fast food menus. None of them are great, but there are some items to absolutely avoid, according to the employees who actually work at these fast-food chains across the United States.

These employees took to Reddit to share the hot-goss. Here are 12 of the most shocking items.

1. Hash Round Nibblers from White Castle

You wouldn’t think a little snack like the hash round nibblers from White Castle would pack too many calories, but they do. They clock in at about 1,440 calories 110g of fat per bag. That’s roughly half of our daily caloric intake.

2. Fish Sandwiches from Burger King

Burger King is known for its burgers. Its fish sandwiches, on the other hand? Not so much. And there’s a reason for that: the fish isn’t high quality and is usually sitting around in the back for quite some time.

3. Jumbo Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel from Auntie Anne’s

This cheese pretzel dog contains 650 calories, 31 grams of fat and 1,360 mg of sodium. Let’s just say, your arteries will not be thanking you for this one!

4. Any food from Starbucks

Employees at Starbucks have shared that pretty much all the food they sell there is pre-packaged and frozen, so probably not the best quality lunch if you can avoid it.

5. Tuna Sandwiches from Subway

Word on the street is that the tuna at Subway has been sitting out for a while… In fact, it could even be expired. So yeah, maybe stay away from the tuna melt when you are there.

6. Hot Drinks at Dunkin’ Donuts

This is not necessarily a health concern, but employees at Dunkin’ Donuts have revealed that cold drinks are actually bigger than the hot drinks. Good to consider if you’re looking to get more of a bang for your buck!

7. Pad Thai Chicken from P.F. Chang’s

There are many reasons why this is not the best dish to order. For one thing, it clocks in at a crazy amount of calories: 1,230 calories to be exact. It doesn’t end there. It also has 2,590 mg of sodium as well as 43 grams of sugar. Who wants that much sugar in their dinner?! Especially when that is over your recommended daily intake!

8. Roman 16″ Meat Primo Pizza from Sbarro

Here’s another crazy high caloric value we can’t even wrap our heads around! This Meat Primo Pizza from Sbarro is 4,610 calories and 11,440 mg of sodium. Woah!

9. Anything but the wings at Buffalo Wild Wings

If you pay a visit to Buffalo Wild Wings and get anything other than wings… What are you doing? Ha! But in all seriousness, everything else on the menu is pre-packaged and/or frozen. Best to stick to what the restaurant does best.

10. Tacos from Chipotle

Let’s not hate on Chipotle too much — their stuff is tasty as heck. However, we will say that ordering their tacos is a waste of time. Why? Because you are essentially getting half the portion, but for the same price. If you want it to financially make sense, get a bowl or burrito and save the rest for later.

11. Anything in the food warmer at 7-Eleven

Does this one come as much of a surprise? If you’re passing through for some grub during a night shift, you might just be picking up a warm hot dog or taquito that has been laying around since 5 a.m. No thanks!

12. Philly Steak or American Cheese from Domino’s
