Meet Frederik The Great, also known as the most handsome horse in the world

Some people are just known for their looks, but it turns out that in the animal kingdom, there is such a thing as “the most handsome horse” and that title has unofficially gone to none other than Frederik The Great. Frederik is a Friesian Stallion and if you take a look at a couple of his pictures, you’ll definitely see why this majestic animal is a contender for the most handsome creature in the world.

With his toned, muscular build and beautiful long locks of hair, it’s not hard to see why Frederik The Great is considered to be the most handsome horse around.

In fact, some of his nicknames are actually the “real-life black beauty”, “storybook stallion” or the “Fabio of horses”, and those are just a couple. The beautiful animal was born in the Netherlands sixteen years ago (hence the rather unique spelling of his name) but was imported to a house farm in Arkansas at the age of six years old. Stacy Nazario from Pinnacle Fiesians can now call herself the proud owner of Frederik The Great, and she had always known that he was special.

According to her, there are plenty of humans that are jealous of Frederik’s beautiful looks (and locks).

The horse has even been offered movie roles!

“The first time I laid eyes on him,” Stacy said to The Guardian, “I knew he was an exceptional stallion.”

And according to his owner, it’s not just his looks that make him a special horse. His personality really shines on the farm in the Ozark mountains, and he’s a sweet and caring being, or as Stacy likes to call him, a ‘gentle giant’.

“His personality went right along with his looks. He’s just phenomenal. His temperament is sweet. I could put a baby right next to him and he would just be gentle with it. He’s a gentle giant.”

Back in 2016, Frederik the Great went viral on social media and dozens of his pictures were shared thousands of times.

“There will NEVER be a more majestic, handsome, sexy horse on the face of the earth. Never, ever. I wish I could just touch and “smell” him just once,” one person wrote.

“There’s a reason he called the most beautiful horse in the world. Looking at him is proof,” another added.

Frederik’s Facebook-page now almost has a hundred thousand followers, and he was featured in numerous large international news outlets. Despite his new-found mass popularity, Frederik has definitely always had his fans.

“He’s always been popular with his fanbase,” she said. “Before this his videos and his photographs have been all over. He’s got fans from all over the world,” his owner explained.

The secret for these amazing pictures? According to Stacy, the horse is absolutely aware of his beauty.

“He lights up when he’s in the arena or when there’s photography going on. It’s almost like watching a celebrity, you know, the difference between when they’re at home and under the lights,” Stacy said.

“He’s that gentle and sweet of a horse, which is ingrained in his personality, that will not change.”

Even though Frederik’s beauty is mostly natural, Stacy does admit using a special horsehair conditioner to make sure that his shiny coat and sleek mane stay that way.

When he’s not competing at beauty contests, having photoshoots or entertaining movie offers, Frederik behaves just like any other horse.

“He’s just eating grass, walking around, he’ll look out at the deer,” owner Stacy told. “He loves to just relax.”

What an amazing animal!
