There are few other things that are as fun in the summer as pools. Taking a dip when the sun is at its strongest is most people’s idea of spending their summer. Throw in some iced tea and music, and you’ve got a recipe for a fun time.

And any dog owner knows that our canine companions love the water just as much as us.

Take a look at this French bulldog, Jude, and his reaction to seeing its swimming pool.

Courtesy of Rumble Viral, we get to watch a Frenchie bounding with excitement. You might’ve heard the expression “barely contain your excitement”, but it helps to have a live demonstration of just that.

This Frenchie’s owner got it a nice little inflatable pool for the summer. It’s not the kind of pool you and your friends can all sit in, unless you’re also dogs. But it’s plenty big enough for a dog his size.

And she’s immediately jumping for joy just a second or two after the video starts. This dog is all over the place like a kid on Christmas morning.

He loves the water. He loves the pool’s roundness and its inflatable, PVC exterior. It’s everything to him – and that’s saying a lot, knowing how easy it is to please a dog.

Jude is so excited that he can’t decide if he wants to stay in the water or not.

The little Frenchie constantly leaps in and out of the pool, getting his paws wet but never taking a full dip. Maybe he’s taking it slow?

The French bulldog, according to the AKC, requires decent physical stimulation. On a scale of mental stimulation needs that goes up to 5, the Frenchie sits comfortably at a 3. So if you plan on getting a French bulldog, make sure they have some way to keep busy.

Now, turning over to Jude, it seems like the pool meets those needs 10 times over.

Thankfully, you won’t need too large of a pool for one if you decide to go that route.

One commenter left a pretty funny description of the breed and climbed to the top of the comments for it.

It’s going to be a great summer for Jude. His mom is going to have to clean this pool often, but she did get it for him.

So she probably doesn’t mind.

Maybe eventually, he’ll start to slowly appreciate a slow dip even more.
