Gorgeous chimera cat named Narnia is being praised as “living art”
According to Greek mythology, the chimera used to be a monster that bore the heads of a lion, a goat, and a snake and was able to breathe fire.
“A thing of immortal make, not human, lion-fronted and snake behind, a goat in the middle, and snorting out the breath of the terrible flame of bright fire,” Homer narrated in Iliad.
But, chimeras of modern days are not at all scary or dangerous creatures. On the contrary, they are adorable sweethearts that can be found in variations among animal species.
But how are chimeras created?
Well, scientifically speaking, chimeras are formed when two fertilized eggs or early embryos merge into one organism. This practically means that chimera animals are their own fraternal twins. How amazing and mind-blowing is that?!

While chimeras are extra rare among animals, it would seem that cats are (surprise, surprise!) an exception.
According to Leslie Lyons, professor at the University of California, Davis, it would appear that chimeras among cats “are not really that rare”. In fact, there have been celebrity chimera cats over the years with some of them really making a difference!
Like, for instance, Venus, who is considered the top chimera cat celebrity out there. Venus is not only a chimeric feline, but she also has one blue and one green eye, which makes her looks even more unique.

And then there’s also Quimera from Argentina. This cutie has also taken the Internet by storm and has lots of fans from all over the world.

But the most beautiful of all is Narnia, a French chimeric cat, of whom we just can’t get enough!
Narnia is a 3-year old boy, who lives with his mom, breeder Stephanie Jimenez of Chatterie de la Grâce, and his feline family. Ever since he was born he has attracted attention and by now he is used to posing for the camera, while he adores his fans.
Many a time people online have wondered if this is really the cat’s fur or it is photoshopped, but Jimenez has made it clear that this is really what the cat looks like. As she said, he’s a “little miracle”.

Narnia, whose face is half black and half grey, with a white goatee and white locket on his neck, is usually busy with this modeling and influencing thing on Instagram. In his free time, however, he loves spending time with his British shorthair family and his mom who enjoys cuddling with him as much as possible.
Of course, Narnia is still a cat, which means that he, too, can chase invisible prey or shadows, like any cat really.
And, when we say he’s a friendly cat, we don’t only mean towards other cats or humans. Narnia is also comfortable among dogs- especially Aslan, his best dog buddy!
