But one thing other people enjoy doing is making a flower “waterfall.”

This guy used plastic bottles and zip ties to create a Moss Rose waterfall.

Moss rose is also known as Portulaca grandiflora. It’s a flowering annual cylindrical succulent with multicolored flowers. It grows well in most soils but prefers well-drained ones.

It grows quickly and can withstand drought. It’s no surprise that people want to grow this in their gardens.

Moss rose grows fast making it an ideal plant for a flower waterfall.

Here’s the list of materials that you’ll need to prepare:

• Empty plastic bottles of similar size and shape

• Cutter

• Zip ties

• Soldering iron

• Scissors

• Steel iron rod

• Old plastic basin

• Garden soil

• Compost or mulch

• Fertilizer

• Drill

• Garden spray

• Flowering stimulant

First, cut the plastic bottles on both ends.

You can mark where you want to cut. To form a curve for your waterfall, you must cut long and short ones.

Then, using washable paint or a marker, trace the waterfall’s shape for you to follow.

Connect the plastic bottles on top of that marking to create a clear guide for alignment. Make sure that the connected bottles have at least a half-inch part overlap at both ends.

Next, using the soldering iron, make holes where the bottles overlap.

There should be two holes at each point where the zip ties must be inserted and locked. Repeat this process around the bottle until you are confident that it will hold itself.

You had already created and formed the bottles into a waterfall by this point. You’ll need to punch more holes around the bottles because this is where the Moss rose cuttings will grow.

Repeat the process with the old basin.

Make a hole on one end for later insertion of the steel iron rod. Create drainage holes all over the basin.

Use the steel iron rod to support the shape of your waterfall.

You can do this by drilling holes in the back of the bottles and tying the rod together with zip ties.

Allow for at least six inches at both ends. Insert the rod’s top end into the hole you made at the basin’s bottom end.

Now you can fill the bottle with soil.

Mix with some compost or mulch to the soil. A little fertilizer would also be beneficial. After combining, fill the water bottles with soil until they are full.

The waterfall is then placed where you want it.

Form three holes on the wall with a drill. Insert the top end of the iron steel rod through the basin’s bottom hole, then into one of the holes on the wall. Screw the basin’s top into the two remaining holes in the wall.

Put some soil in the basin as well.

Take your Moss rose cuttings and plant them on your waterfall.

Put some stems in the basin. Then, insert one stem cutting into each of the holes around the bottles. After that, spray it with water.

It will begin to grow after ten days and some flowers will begin to bloom.

You can use a flowering stimulant which is available in stores. Blend it with water and sprinkle it all over.

In just 13 days, more flowers will bloom to greet you.

Flowers will now bloom from all over your flower waterfall.

There are a lot of Moss rose varieties, such as “Afternoon Delight, Duet series, Fairy Tale series, Sundance, and Sundial series.”
