Dogs have always been man’s best friend.

But what “man” didn’t take into consideration is that dogs can also be their children’s partners in crime. A hilarious and adorable video made rounds on social media showing a little girl and her dog.

This video will surely leave you in stitches and will make you wish that your German shepherd is as smart as this one!

Growing up, we all have our fair share of antics.

Maybe we snuck out through the window to meet up with our friends. Maybe we turned on the game console after everyone went to bed. Or maybe, just maybe, we were watching TV when we should have been doing homework.

That’s exactly what this little girl was doing – and she has found the perfect accomplice in their German shepherd dog.

Guanlin, the little girl in the video, was seen escaping homework.

She was seated on the couch instead of the stool in front of her desk. She was holding the remote instead of her pen and was watching TV instead of filling in answers.

Then, Nuomi could be seen barking. Once he placed his hand over Guanlin’s desk, the entire scene changes.

Her father walks in shortly after. And instead of seeing his daughter lounging around, he sees a hard-working little girl hunched over her worksheet.

The father didn’t think much about it and carried on.

It was only when he watched the CCTV recordings that he knew what his daughter was up to. He then shared the clip online. People all over the internet were both amused and envious of Nuomi.

Others expressed how much they wanted to have a dog like Nuomi while others praised the family for raising such a smart pooch.

Nuomi was untrained, however.

While Nuomi’s parents are both K9 police dogs, he is untrained.

This didn’t stop him from performing different tricks like carrying the basket during grocery runs or accepting parcels from unsuspecting delivery workers.

In another clip, Nuomi was shown opening the door. Then, before the delivery man can do anything, Nuomi grabbed the parcel off his hands, placed it on the floor, then barked at the man to say “thank you.” It scared the delivery man, though, so much so that he left in a hurry.

Despite his scary nature, Nuomi is a very loving dog.

To make up for the surprise, Nuomi even visited the delivery man at work. Then, he gave him a bag of treats to say how sorry he was for the “welcome”.

As for Guanlin, he often carries her bag on the way to school. He even lets her put different accessories on him. With their relationship, Guanlin’s dad shouldn’t be so surprised that they ended up being partners in crime.

The video had millions of engagements on social media.

Guanlin’s dad was glad that this little antic brought smiles to people’s faces. He also shared to the South China Morning Post that he wanted to share more adventures with the dynamic duo.

In the meantime, Guanlin should think of another way to sneak in some TV time. Fortunately for her, she has a smart dog who can help her out with that.
