German Shepherd puppy finds hilarious way to tell his owner he’s hungry

It ain’t easy being hungry. Just ask this poor, adorable German Shepherd that has clearly been waiting to be fed for way too long.

Just look at how sad and hungry he looks!

As he gazes longingly at his empty food bowl you have to wonder what kind of monstrous parents he has.

And if you’ve ever had a German Shepherd you know they’re probably the kind who just fed him 5 minutes ago.

You see, German Shepherds – like many dogs – always think they’re hungry. The bigger problem is, they’re also always cute.

Of course, there could be medical reasons why your dog constantly wants to eat, especially if it acts out of desperation and tries to consume inedible things. And in that case, you should obviously see a veterinarian.

But that’s not why this dog is asking for food. He’s just like the rest of us in that he’ll just eat what’s in front of him and when there’s nothing left he feels sort of bored and confused and…well, unfulfilled.

Since he can’t go get his own food, he’s developed an adorably annoying way to let his dad know he’s hungry.

He slams his paw on the world’s loudest food bowl.

That gets his dad’s attention alright!

Then the Food Man speaks: “Can I help you?” he asks?

NOW we’re getting somewhere. The dog’s ears perk up – and since it’s a German Shepherd we’re talking about here, there’s a lot of ear to perk.

How do you resist this face?

The dog sure doesn’t understand how the guilt trip isn’t working.

But humans can be pretty slow, so the smart doggo lays down another hint, looking at the pantry where the dog food is kept.

Still no dice.

Dad asks again: “What? What can I do for ya?”

In return, he gets that “are you actually serious right now?” look.

We’re clearly going to need a new strategy here.

Now that the dog is up he takes one more chance to remind dad where the food is kept.

But this is a very well-trained pup, so he knows better than to do anything other than ask and then wait patiently.

And that’s precisely what he does.

That face might deserve food, but everyone knows you can’t keep feeding a dog.

Clearly, the new position is working because dad opens the pantry door. He even invites the sweet pup to point out what he wants, which he’s very happy to do.

And yet again you can see the effects of his training because he’s calm and obedient and doesn’t push the issue too far.

You can’t really be mad at a dog for begging with its eyes, can you?

Personally, we’d have to leave the kitchen altogether because we couldn’t withstand this kind of cuteness torturer.

But it’s also likely that dad puts up with this every day.

Finally, he asks the magic question:

“Are you hungry?”

We don’t speak German Shepherd but we’re pretty sure this means “OMG YES.”

But then the truth comes out:

“But it is midday. You just ate!”

Irrelevant.

How could dad think this is a valid reason for no dog food?

The absurdity!

Maybe one more hint will do the trick. And BANG thee food bowl clangs once again.
