German Shepherd asleep in backseat until her favorite song plays

Guess what – here’s a singing dog that isn’t a husky!

Even better, this pup in particular loves to jam to Queen anytime “her song” is playing.

She’ll even wake up in the middle of a lazy Saturday afternoon joy ride to bark along to her favorite Freddie tunes.

Meet Lola, the singing German Shepherd.

She’s quite the crafty little lass. At first glance, this good gurl appears to be snoozing the day away in the backseat of a car, while mom drives down the highway.

The sweet dog continues to lounge around like a tired old hound for a few moments until Queen’s “We Are the Champions” starts playing on the stereo.

That’s when she perks right up!

They’ve obviously done this song and dance before.

Well, at least the song part.

In the video, we can see Lola’s mom Annie in the front seat crooning to one of Queen’s most famous songs.

Then, without missing a beat, Annie passes a knowing look to the camera, as if to warn us that something fabulous is about to come our way!

Don’t let her fool you, this is one sneaky little doggo.

One minute the dog’s eyes are closed, and the next, they’ve suddenly popped open!

You can almost see the cheeky glint in her eyes as Lola lifts her head up into the air.

Then, right on cue and without any fanfare, she opens her mouth and hollers out one screaming howl after another!

Freddie Mercury would be proud.

The late, great singer was a natural baritone, but he easily shifted into a tenor and wowed us whenever he suddenly pivoted into a soprano.

Many professional singers have tried – and terrifically failed – to become the champion of his unique style of vibrato.

But this pooch belts it out with such laissez-faire, you’d think she was doing it just for fun.

Perhaps Lola has a future with America’s Got Talent?

Some might argue that the pupper has a great big pair of lungs, big enough to match her human counterparts on TV.

And as we all know, Simon Cowell does love an entertaining doggy act!

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Queen, a British variety of rock, originally released “We Are the Champions” in 1977.

With Freddie Mercury on lead vocals and Brian May strumming his guitar, the hit song made the top 10 in various other countries around the world.

Now over four decades later, the newest generation of people (and puppies, apparently) just can’t get enough!

That’s just one more thing that humans and animals have in common – the same great taste in music!

This carpool karaoke is in full swing.

Lola and Annie may not be as famous as The Late Late Show with James Corden, but with over 8 million views on YouTube, they’re definitely holding their own.

Especially when it comes to Lola yowling “We are the Champions” during the chorus.
