For a whole lot of dogs, regular trips to the dog park are absolute bliss and one of their most favorite activities. Being able to run around freely in another environment and meeting other four-footers, what’s not to like?

A certain German Shepherd was very much looking forward to a trip to the dog park, but little did he know that his owners were actually taking him to the veterinarian’s office instead.

When this family goes to the dog park, they have to hop into the car as it isn’t exactly close by. This dog is somewhat conditioned that car rides must automatically mean that they’re headed towards some dog park fun, and the adorable German Shepherd was already getting very excited.

Even though we can’t exactly talk with our pets, they definitely know how to communicate without words, and can even pick up on some words we use. Let’s face it – “walkie” will probably evoke an instant reaction from a whole lot of pets.

Another one of those recognizable words is ‘the vet’, and usually, the excitement becomes significantly less and their reaction will say it all.

It’s actually pretty normal for dogs to dislike, or even hate, the veterinarian. And it doesn’t really matter if your dog is super friendly, sociable, or relaxed – vet appointments usually aren’t the most pleasant of trips.

After all, they’re constantly being touched or examined, and the claws are also taken care of – something a lot of dogs absolutely hate.

Something that can actually not be underestimated, is the smell and noise of other animals at the veterinarian’s office, and it’s usually a place where you see a lot of other anxious animals. It’s a lot of things to process, and sometimes a poor dog’s senses can become a bit overloaded.

Judging by a hilarious viral video, it’s safe to say that Enzo the German Shepherd doesn’t have the greatest of experiences at the vet’s office.

In fact, the panic actually started kicking in once the dog seemed to recognize a few familiar streets – and they weren’t headed to the dog park. This exciting and joyful trip to the dog park, as per usual, suddenly became a whole lot more negative for the pooch. When mommy and daddy pulled up into the parking lot of the vet’s office, the dog’s fearful reaction really says it all.

He’s at the vet, and he’s definitely not happy about it.

In his mind, Enzo must think that he’s been tricked by his human parents and anxiously looks at every window for an opportunity to escape.

While the reaction of the German Shepherd is definitely relatable to a lot of dog owners, his dramatic fashion is actually quite funny.

Luckily, Enzo wasn’t dealing with any kind of injuries or problems – the vet’s appointment was just for a routine check-up.

Nothing to worry about, Enzo!

“Enzo is going to the vet for a check up. His family recently moved from a northern state to a southern state, his allergies did not appreciate that at all. But all is well with Enzo now!” Enzo’s dad wrote in the video caption.

All that dramatic fuss for nothing! Luckily, this was just an easy check-up and Enzo’s fears definitely weren’t justified. Who knows, maybe he’ll even like the trips to the vet’s office just as much as the dog park trips one day.
