There is nothing sadder than knowing that there are dogs somewhere who share the same fate as these dogs.

In a hopeless and dumpster-looking area, the rescuers from Rescue & RemEMBER found a female dog and her furry friend. She lived in a tight and smelly crate for six long years!

The two dogs’ rescuers were shocked when they saw the horrifying condition of the poor pooches. The dogs also smelled terrible during the rescue, but that didn’t stop the team from taking them out of that health-risky place. It was about time for them to restart their lives, and saving them from that place was just the beginning.

To any dog that had been maltreated for quite a period of time, the presence of any human becomes a threat. Because of the stress and trauma that they had from their past experience, they’re already under the impression of getting hurt again whenever they see a human or other creatures near them.

However, these dogs were different.

Instead of acting aloof or aggressive, the dogs were incredibly welcoming to their rescuers. they showered them with smiles, wagging tails, and sweet kisses. The rescuers were surprised that the dogs reacted positively around them.

After that refreshment, the two rescued dogs whom they named Angelica and Spud quickly went from helpless dogs into goofy ones. Turns out, the two furballs wanted nothing but to be back to normal – to being dogs.

The time that they spent together inside those neighboring crates strengthened the bond between them. Angelica and Spud turned out to be the best of friends!

Sadly, just like any other friendship, the best buds needed to say goodbye.

In just a matter of a few weeks after being rescued and because he was in better shape, Spud was adopted by his new parents and left Angelica under their rescuers’ care.

The giant baby girl on the other hand underwent therapies to bring the strength of her legs back to normal. Although she hasn’t found her new family yet, everyone was there to give her the best care and love – things that she never had in a while.

Angelica went on road trips, slept on a cozy bed, gobbled in her first cheeseburger, and met furry friends and humans. She was having the best time of her life, and it was so beautiful to witness.

Eventually, the friendly giant dog was fostered and adopted.

Angelica and Spud met again after a few months, and it was the sweetest reunion ever! It’s like they were never apart because they still have that magical connection between them.

The video of their story was watched by over 3 million people. A lot of them were heartbroken by their horrible start but glad to know both dogs ended up happy with their new families.
