Little girl shells out $400 for outdated camper to turn it into dream tiny home

It’s essential for children to learn about saving and investing.

It sets the foundation for their financial future.

By teaching children about the importance of managing their money wisely, they develop good habits that can last a lifetime.

And this is what the parents of this 11-year-old girl want to teach their child.

They balanced the fun and lessons through this amazing renovation project on an old camper.

Meet Lauren.

Lauren was looking forward for her summer vacation. But COVID-19 got in the way and they couldn’t go out.

So, she decided to not let this virus stop her from fulfilling her dream to have a fun summer.

While browsing an American girl doll magazine, she found a bus that cost $650 USD. She ran to her daddy and asked him to buy her that same bus.

But her Dad refused.

He told her that for that kind of money she’d have to buy her own camper. It was time for Lauren to learn about finances and investments.

Lauren came up with a great idea.

Because of her dad’s advice, Lauren realized that it would be cool to have her own space in a camper.

According to her mom, Aimee Nelson, they explained to Lauren about saving up for her dream camper and Lauren gladly accepted the challenge.

Lauren saved all of her allowances and began looking for a camper in the neighborhood.

The next process was the renovation.

Her parents saw her determination in making her dream come true so they supported the renovation process of the camper.

Lauren turned the camper from this old look to a new look. Very vibrant and suitable for an 11-year-old.

Lauren’s in love with it.

She said that it is nice to have a space where she can be creative.

According to Forbes Magazine, a survey said that many kids wish that their parents taught them about money in their younger years so they would have known how to handle it when they grew up.

In Lauren’s case, her parents did a very good job training her to both invest and save.

Many of us learn about the saving part. Not so much the investing, though.

They’re also helping Lauren better her judgment and decision-making for the future.

Some important factors why it is important for kids to learn is that it helps them to have an entrepreneurship mindset and also to build their wealth for the coming years.

In further research, Girl Camper website shared that Lauren receives calls from other girls that they want to celebrate their birthday in her camper.

So, Lauren had an idea to open the camper for rent to other girls.
