Little girl drops coins in a hat, starts the most chill inducing flash mob ever caught on film
In the world that we live in today, surprising people have started to trend. Getting unexpected reactions from other people is something fun and exciting to do.
With all the things that advanced technology has brought to our lives, it’s now easy to make or capture something and make it viral.
It’s just that sometimes, a surprise can go beyond the word “beautiful” to something not even words can describe.
On a beautiful day in Sabadell, Spain, a huge surprise was in store for an unsuspecting crowd.
A man in a tuxedo stood in the middle of a crowd at the Placa De Sant Roc.
He had his instrument ready as well as his hat to collect tips.
A beautiful young girl was the first to drop a coin into the musician’s hat.
The man then started to play Beethovenâs âOde to Joy,â she watched closely with so much amazement.
Suddenly, another woman from the crowd joined the first musician.
She had her own stringed instrument and together, they serenaded the crowd. To no one’s surprise at all – more people from the crowd came near to watch the performers.
They had no idea that it was only the beginning of a much bigger surprise that was about to unfold that day.
As they continue to perform the symphony, more and more musicians flock to the plaza. Musicians of different expertise like stringed instruments, wind, and percussion.
Pretty soon, they made an orchestra of 100 people.
The participants had come from the Lieder, Amics de lâĂpera, Vallès Symphony Orchestra, and Coral Belles Arts choirs.
The orchestral flash mob was organized by Banco Sabadell in celebration of their 130th anniversary.
The obviously amused audience seized the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
They brought their phones and cameras out to record the jaw-dropping show in front of their two naked eyes.
To manage the orchestra, a man even stepped in as a conductor.
It was a magical moment, they filled the place with nothing but beautiful music.
Then, their performance went beyond “magical” when a choir began singing Beethovenâs Symphony No. 9, âOde to Joy.â
The breathtaking performance stunned most of the people from the crowd and left them speechless. Well, most of them.
Some weren’t able to contain their joy at all and started to mouth the lyrics of the song.
It amused not only the adults who knew the song but also the children present that day!
That wasn’t the end of their awesome performance…
There was a time when the orchestra tuned down a bit low. The crowd then started to murmur out of curiosity – some of them may have thought that the show was about to end.
Then came the explosive grand finale!
The conductor gestured his hand, instructing the musicians and singers to give it their all one last time!
The spine-chilling show surely gave everyone goosebumps.
They ended their orchestral flash mob with a bang!
The crowd showed their gratitude for the gift of music by showering them with genuine smiles and endless rounds of applause.
The flash mob video was uploaded on YouTube back in 2012 and it was a total hit!
Banco Sabadell uploaded it on their self-named YouTube channel. It quickly went viral right there and then. As of this writing, it already has more than 86 million views.
The act was part of their Som Sabadell campaign, which means âWe are Sabadell.â
It amused the entire world!
Viewers from countries around the world can’t help but express their feelings for the heartfelt performance of the orchestra.
Here are some of the comments:
âI would give anything to have witnessed this in person. The joy in the young and old is priceless.â
Another wrote:
âI donât care how many times I see this video, or how many times I hear this glorious music, it always brings tears of joy to my face and pure joy in my heart. Just glorious, divine, perfect music!â
